Their squad is dug meat. They put too much responsibility on Wilson's shoulders, and he couldn't make up for the poor return from international class passenger Shankland.

I think Critch got about as much as he could out of them given those circumstances.

Stand back and wait for the delusions of grandeur, hilariously out of reach Managers suggested for the short list. Mind they all thought they should go for Davie Moyes last time.

As others have said, Critchley suffered the Hibs factor. He hasn't exactly set the heather on fire but 4th since he came in isn't that bad. They never factored Hibs going on the unbeaten run and having the upper hand in derbies and going for 3rd/europe. Hertz simply can't handle the hibees pumping them. If we were bottom 6 beside them Critchley would probably still be in a job. So it's actually SDGs fault.

Delusion the average mind cannot comprehend.

What they did mange was 5 defeats and 1 draw. No idea what happened to the the 2 games :)

I'd like to ask the guy if he still thinks 2024/25 Dhanda would arguably get the nod over 05/06 Hartley.

He's a very decent guy, would cost them a fortune and has been around a relegation battle or two, and runs of bad luck......

As long as we keep going on unbeaten runs, they'll continue to sack managers. It is and always has been all about us.

TBF if they had windows they'd only have to worry about dealing with folk escaping overnight.

Please oh please I'd love for them to outdo themselves and stick Steven Pressley in charge.

There is a guy who optimised their overall turncoat mentality. Wouldn't it be a sight to behold him banging his hand off the table in press conferences "the reason I'm banging my hand off this table is because.....".

    I do love a managers market 😁

    Odds on next Hearts manager

    John McGlynn - 100/30*
    Des Buckingham -*4/1
    Robbie Neilson - 9/2
    Ian Evatt - 5/1
    Kim Hellberg - 11/2
    Liam Fox - 15/2
    Rob Edwards - 8/1
    Nigel Pearson - 10/1
    Derek McInnes - 12/1
    Barry Ferguson - 15/1
    Wayne Rooney - 20/1

    So right!

Preston on the radio earlier in the season when discussing Hearts poor form actually said the Hearts board are lucky Hibs are struggling too.

There'd be much rejoicing amongst some Gorgie Grannies if Rooney got the job.

Wayne Rooney for me, with all his car crash attempts at being a manager though I can't see their bingo ball machine spinning out his name though.

    Reckon they’ll try for McInnes.

Ferguson or Rooney would be comedy gold.

I strongly suspect it’ll be none of the above. Wouldn’t be too worried if it was though.

Ian Evatt seems decent. Kim Hellberg a bit of a wildcard. McGlynn or McInnes probably more the types to get them up for Derbys but I’m not sure hearts will go for either, or that the pair would fancy it even if hearts wanted them.

    Rooney or Ferguson just hilarious.

That was my thought a few weeks back. The timings wrong though, i assume Barry will be allowed to stay until the end of the season, whereas Queen Anne will want the Gorgie managers bungalow filled before then then.

That's their sole purpose though. They could finish third and not win a derby and the boss would get the sack.

Their performances this season certainly hurt one club in particular
