I'd wondered how the Nae Windaes Inn was doing financially. Seemed to me like a poorly thought out venture from the off.
My understanding is the hotel is making a positive contribution currently, so not sure about it making a loss. That did come from a Hearts fan, but a very well balanced one, there is one or two of them :-)

Real shame ( not a Spanish football team ) definitely one of my favourite ever Hearts managers.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with for next season ..... hopefully more of the same

All jokes aside, I don't think there are many managers out there who could have done any better with their current squad. The only player in their club I think would get into our squad is Penrice.

Managers are not giving enough time. The human egg gets them a strong finish, has a rough start to this season and is sacked. They then bring in Critchley and sack him months later because they haven't recruited well. Wasn't so long ago he put a decent string of results together. Hopefully this latest knee jerk reaction and Liam Fox takes them to the playoffs.

Can’t deny he’s improved them. Do they think the next guy is going to wave a magic wand and make everything great?
Perhaps not a guy? They could bring back Rima for the managerial position and get her to wave her magic stick around.

He’d have took them down, hopefully whoever they get to take over (Gordon short term) keeps the legacy going

I wonder how much it will cost to sack him? The only thing the Fartz have been good at over the past few years, is wasting money on Olympic levels lol

Sorry he’s gone though had a right laugh when I heard he was in remembering Mikey Stewart when watching one of their games he was commentating on where he was boasting , slavering about a clear ‘ Identity ‘ he saw in the way Critchley had them playing … wonder what he will say now ?

The very same pundits who were slavering about identity and patterns of play being good are now talking as if they knew it was doomed all along.

I understand they’ve missed out on top 6 so that means they’ve had a ***** season, but they were bottom when they appointed this guy, and now they’re 7th.

Can’t deny he’s improved them. Do they think the next guy is going to wave a magic wand and make everything great?
They’ve pressed the panic button. They could have just dispensed with someone who’d be pretty decent for them next season in the likelihood that they avoid any catastrophe’s in closing games.

Critchley 100% suffered from us having the season we’re having. If we were toiling in the bottom six with them then they’d be happy enough to write off the season as damage limitation after Naismith’s hilarious start to the season.

Critchley was nearly there with them, points per game was decent enough and over the season I think he’d have had them top six, their xG stats put them top three the last time I checked - similar to early season SDG.

He was also brilliant in the derbies, just not for Hearts.

i'm not sure we should be slinging mud in that regard - we need Europe groups and cash from maybe Vente & Yohan to make our financial mess better

That’s not strictly true as the Gordon family paid the shortfall taking responsibility for mistakes which led to that loss. Also you have to remember hearts have been consistantly getting that European money (coz they are a super big big club) and getting the extra FOH cash and the Ben E Factor cash every year for however long that’s been.

So if true (which I doubt) they would in my mind at least be much worse off than us.

I'd add that Hearts would have been in the top six if St Mirren hadn't scored that late winner against Ross County so if I was neutral I'd say he was unlucky to get sacked.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

I think any fair reflection would say he has been unlucky imo

Yes Stewart who was unbelievably praising him in i think the Hedenheim game about identity clear patterns creating chances etc seems to have done a 360 about signings having no pace wide etc yet the set up they had in the semi final had pace wide in Wilson and Kabangu with Penrice and Forrester supporting which to sounds like pace wide. He seems to like to highlight Kartum signing as being some major issue. One thing is for sure Mikey is never wrong and reserves the right to do a 360 at any point.

Not aiming at you but MS seems to pick up what's happening from game to game and time to time rather being stuck with a mantra as many tend to on forums - Campbell is crap, Rocky is a bombscare and what use is Levitt? Things change and MS changes with them.

Remember reading at one point on a different thread how not one Hibs player would get in their starting lineup 😂

Someone on there posted saying if hearts were to play a Hibs/aberdeen select, the side would be all hearts players… not sure they understand the concept of select sides, and that in their scenario, Hearts weren’t one of them
