At the 6-1 1972 final there were Celtic fans outside Hampden who, rather that watch their team lift the cup, were waiting to catch us early leavers.

Was my first final and stayed right through the cup presentation. Actually a large amount of the Hibs support did, as I remember. It had been so long since we’d been in a final. We had the side to win it too, just froze on the day.

They haven’t lost more than one goal in any game in the league all season meaning they kept 29 clean sheets… must be close to some sort of record possibly. Remarkable achievement.
