Is it the current Syrian govt? Have seen reports that it’s former regime loyalists?

as usual on twitter it's difficult to work out which side is telling the truth, a clip of the new regime security beating up an old guy is horrendous, they seem to be murdering innocents as well in their bloodlust, last i read last night was 340 dead

Musk seems to be pushing the narrative that it's the new regime. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the remnants of Assads support trying to draw Russia in, and keep the new leader on the US terror list.

The truth is that there have been atrocities on both sides.

It appears that some former Assad loyalists attacked and killed a large number of the current Syrian forces, then various Militant militias moved in to the area and have engaged in revenge attacks, on both soldiers of the former regime and hundreds of innocent civilians.
