That Boxxer card was possibly the worst night of boxing I’ve ever had the misfortune to waste a night on.

In an amazing turn of events I hope Eubank smashes him to bits

Tuned into the Misfits event on DAZN - what’s the story here? Very weird!

Josh Taylor active on X over the last 24 hrs. Imagine a fight must be in the pipeline?

Where does he go from here? Move up a weight?

Another BOXXER event which was obviously better than the last as it was impossible not to be. Pretty poor though. For a McGuigan stable boxer I thought Azim looked bang average. An international referee might have taken more that 2 points off - quite worrying that his timing and punch accuracy was so poor vs a punchbag.

Definitely news coming soon. New promotor and fight announcement must be imminent. Ross from Seconds Out fight store was posting on his socials yesterday about an exciting 2025 ahead after Josh was in collecting some gear.......

I see Azim has been told he’s no longer welcome to fight on a Riyadh Season event as he’s dodged too many opponents. Still can’t believe how bad he was at the weekend.

Super-featherweight boxer John Cooney has died after his defeat by Nathan Howells in Belfast last Saturday.
I watched the fight but turned over as soon as it finished so was unaware that he had taken ill after the bout. Only 28 , so sad.

Great fight, try and catch it on iplayer if you didn’t see it. Very close. Daord gets it and he probably deserved it.
Some really insightful commentary from Josh Taylor as well.

Cheers. Enjoyed that after the Chisora fight. What was that judge with the wider score watching?

Taylor was actually quite good as a pundit/commentator.

Josh fighting Ekow Essuman in May. A Queensberry card so looks like he signed to them.

Queensberry have cards on the 3rd and 10th May. Scissor Susters play the Hydro on the 17th so looks like it’ll be the 24th, cup final day.

Lee McGregor on the card too.

    Anyone watching the Catterall fight.

Dunno why but I just can’t take to him. Find his fighting style so crap. He’s clearly effective as he keeps winning fights but I keep expecting him to get beat as I just don’t rate him.
Even tonight, the 3 boxers have him up after 9 rounds - I just don’t see it. Barbosa been the aggressor. Probably level-ish for me.

I’m delighted he lost. Not a fan of him or his bleating supporters.

Catterall will be delighted. He can spend another 2 years moaning about how hard done by he is.

He seemed to take the decision well going by his own quotes. He wasn't shafted this time.

I can't dislike him. He did the work in the original Taylor fight and should have got the decision. He's put in the work since. I can respect that. So what if his supporters are morons?

    Ill informed rubbish.

    Read his quotes.

I don’t like Rangers. You might argue that it doesn’t make any difference that their supporters are morons but it certainly adds to my enjoyment when they get beat.

Bakole is a good replacement to be fair.

Really strong card. Good day of sport on Saturday

Bakole deserves his chance, it will be a good fight. He's been living in Scotland a decade now and says he's half Scottish now so I'll obviously be supporting, although I do like Parker

Parker is hard to dislike Parker I fancied him to beat Dubois not enough to stake high but a little feeling he could turn him over, not sure having a new fight so late for him though, I know very little about Bakole a lot on the line for Parker facing him and a lot for bakole to win

  29. #4018
Bakole is a dangerous opponent for Parker.

A great opportunity for Bakole though, wins this and he's right in line for a title shot.

Is he still trained by Billy Nelson?

Aye he's still with Nelson, good fight, I like the pair of them, Parker has the biggest baws in the heavyweight scene, guy doesn't shirk anyone

That Congolese dude is trained by a Scot and lived here for years. Probably the most avoided heavyweight out there. If he’d done a proper camp, he’d be favourite.
