It never fails to surprise me that pundits make the most ludicrous and thoughtless comments. In this case, Shearer said that Celtic, after missing two clear chances in the one attack should be two goals up. Rubbish, if the first chance was taken, the second wouldn’t have happened. Even if he was meaning an earlier chance plus the second chance, it’s still meaningless, as the game would have taken a different course. Pedantic maybe, but a fact.

Celtic actually doing fairly well here, although you just sense Munich will run out fairly comfortable winners.

It does highlight the gulf in Scottish football, Bayern would absolutely hammer any other team in Scotland without breaking a sweat. It's going to take an unbelievably good performance from us in the cup to get through.
