My worry is that it's one thing for missing the move in the summer and having the message knuckle down and you'll get the move January, it's another thing to miss the second time. He'll have wanted to go, there were bids in so can imagine he's frustrated. Nobody knows how he'll react this time, just have to wait and see
Yeah I suppose that’s true in no one knows how he will react but is there anything to be gained by the player downing tools as opposed to playing well , scoring goals , getting assists and putting himself further in the limelight that might lead to a better move , more money etc?

I wonder if the BBC will acknowledge Hibs having "a huge following from Edinburgh", something hertz had on Monday night. I doubt they will.

There seems to be a bit of money in Irish football. A good few decent players have moved there from Scottish clubs recently, Dom Thomas from Queens Park, JDH etc. Interesting to see how JDH gets on after it looks like Hibs have wanted him of the wage bill for a long time and appear to freeze him out for a long time in efforts to force his hand.

P.S. I see Jamie Gullan has moved back to Raith Rovers from Dundalk and will soon be 26!

He wanted to leave in the summer which was why he wasn't taken away on pre season.

I think most of us thought he would have been away in the summer but it's not east to get a move when you haven't played for so long due to injury.

It wouldn't surprise me if JDH did well at Sligo and moved on to a better team in Ireland or comes back to mainland Britain. He simply has to play lots of games to move on from being known as a permacrock.

His biggest issue was always his contract. We've been trying to shift the guy for 2 years near enough. He's turned down moves before to Forest Green and I believe a Serie B team about 2 years ago and the longer he's went without making any impact his ability to be shifted without us taking a financial hit just lessened and lessened to the point where everyone just cut losses and gave him something to go away now.

I don't blame the guy entirely for sitting on his contract but he should have left 2 years ago when he had the chance. Now he's entering his prime years with about 100 minutes of football in nearly 3 years. Good luck to him but I reckon the guy has lost the hunger for it in all honesty. At least Amos was out in January touting himself for a move knowing full well his time here was pointless.

Given progress in the cup is unlikely and we need 3rd in the league for group stage European football next season a win is needed in this one.

We need another 3 points and just keep going, one game at a time, see where we end up at the end of the season.

Gutted the game isn't today. Really looking forward to this one. The closer it gets the more confident I'm getting of a win.

Hopefully Sevco pump Hearts before our game as well.

    Good results for us today…

Motherwell .. draw or lose .
    Killie.. draw or lose .
    Dundee .. draw .
Celtic pump Utd by as many goals as possible.

Big fixture, on the basis we have Celtic next week. 3 points would be essential I think to keep on the heels of United who play Celtic today.

Good opportunity to close the gap and put a marker down that we are the real deal.

I think United have been massively fortunate with some decisions, last minute goals, seen them twice wasn’t impressed either time in all seriousness.

Said it previously but I honestly think tomorrow will have a huge impact on what happens between now and the end of the season. When you look at the fixtures it’s one of the better opportunities for 3 points IMO.

Win and you’ll start to open up gaps on teams below you, including St Mirren. You’ll also more than likely cut the gap to Dundee Utd to a point.

Lose, with Celtic to follow, you could find yourself anywhere in the league with how tight it is and in a fight to just reach the top six.

Agree, we need to be looking at tomorrow as a big opportunity. We owe St Mirren one as well with the performances against them this season.

Let's hope the pitch holds up, it was a mess during the hearts game, not made for on the deck passing football, more of the industrial hoof ball varietie.

Gonna go along to our game against Waterford tonight so hopefully get a look at him & we start with a win......There might cash sloshing with certain clubs but Sligos not one of them. Community club that wouldnt survive without the backing of those in the area. Really impressed with how they are run and exciting times ahead with the planned stadium redevelopment (which we received government funding for part of it)

Well we got half of these. The league is just so close and unpredictable at the moment that all we can do is focus on our own results.

Win tomorrow and we’ve joined the pack that are slightly broken away from the rest.

Loose and we could drop as low as 9th with a follow up defeat to Celtic.

Win tomorrow would be massive. And, IMO, essential if we want to push for third place. I think we can forget that if we don’t win to be honest.

I have a horrible feeling our unbeaten run will come to an end tomorrow. Not because I don't think we're capable of maintaining it, but just because it feels like it's due to end.

I'm naturally cautious though so I sincerely hope I'm wrong. I would still probably take a draw mind you!

Agree. Would also say if we find ourselves in the bottom 6 after tomorrow we could find it hard to get back in. A win tomorrow would be massive
