I seen there was a decent(ish) offer on the Pinter 3, anyone got any experience of these kits? Quite fancy brewing at home and this seems to be home brewing on easy mode. £70 quid for the actual kit and a couple of packs which will produce 20 pints seemed ok though. Looks like they do Punk IPA homebrew now too, was hoping it would be the original recipe but doesnt look like it is. Used to enjoy Punk when it first appeared but it's a pale shadow of it's former glory these days.

Cork and Limerick are the only places I've ever seen Beamish - a tasty pint, for sure.

I've had a nitrosurge since last year - bought one ahead of the Six Nations. It does indeed pour a lovely pint - doesn't work on the normal cans though, as I discovered last night. Well, it doesn't ruin them, but it doesn't really improve the pour substantially.

I'm not a massive stout drinker - really need to be in the mood for it (though it's my go-to at the rugby these days) - I recall trying a previous Drygate one though (Orpheus I think it was called) and it was lovely.
It works great with the normal cans if you release the gas from the can slowly so the widget isn’t triggered

I watched a video where the guy pricked the top of the can with a sewing pin to release the gas slowly. Seemed to work well.

Good to know, because the normal cans are about half the price
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Don’t see Murphy’s around much these days. Gillespies used to be really good but the went. Belhaven Black is supposed to be good. Brewdog Blackheart is no better than OK.
It’s on draught in the St Vincent in Stockbridge but other than that I never see it anywhere.

I used to be a regular Guinness drinker in my local Winstons. Then I tried their Stewart 80’. Absolutely the best pint of 80’ anywhere, have tried the same pint in other pubs and it’s nowhere near as good as Winstons, everywhere else it’s too warm. The pint in Winstons is chilled to perfection and I don’t drink anything else in there now.
