Safe to say that that turned out to be the case. 👏
Will be watching the darts on the big screen while I keep an ear/eye out on the city game on my phone.

    A decent QF lineup.

What a start to the night, Dutch fans putting bunting off first leg then gave him respect, bunting hitting them 180's.

Bought myself a dartboard today from Argos for £25 and some Luke Littler darts for £15, my first ever three darts was 4 10 triple 1 😁

Was throwing for about half hour or so and my last three darts was triple 20 missed the board and 19, I was aiming for the triple 19 on the missed and the third dart was close.

I don't have any surrounding so will need to invest in one or a stand as no idea where the dart is going to go and don't want holes in the wall, so far so good.

Will spend the next few hours watching videos on stance, aiming and grip etc, the triple 20 I hit I was obviously aiming but definitely was luck than skill.

Consistently throwing a good dart is obviously key but I enjoyed it and will throw some more later.

Good thing about Darts is you can play on your own , I can easily go upstairs and spend 5-6 hours every day playing Darts and i don't ever get bored , I'm maybe biased because he's Scottish but i followed Gary Anderson's stance, Throw , Technique and it works for me , Foot forward instead of sideways and keep everything in your body straight , Head still , Throw your Darts and don't jerk anything , Arm as far out as it goes before releasing the Dart is absolutely critical !

I won everything you could win when i was playing from 18 till 21 in the pub leagues then beer and woman entered my life , I think if the money that is on show now was available back then i'd have screwed the nut

Aw the best mate , Keep at it

I bought darts board and stand about a fortnight a go and have thrown darts everyday since, I’ve had dart boards before but I’m no great shakes myself the surround has a few holes in it that’s for sure, I’m now getting decent scores although always the chance of a 26 or a 3 raising its head every now and then but my doubles are horrific, I just can’t check out

I'm just off it now, threw for about an hour and a half today, hit a few treble 20's and have started to practice hitting the 19's. I have noticed I'm hitting the 5 and 1 more often than the 18 or 12, I feel I have got better than yesterday.

Download the Russ Bray app, only the trial version so can only play the computer at 201, you just shout out your scores and it does the rest for you, says can play Vs humans, not sure how it would work, I could just keep lying and win every game.

Enjoying it so far and look forward to tomorrow when I get the time to throw some more.

I’m using dart counter which is good 3 online games a week you get with no sub (it’s 34.99 a year for unlimited) need to have a camera on for games tho or no one plays you, another one is dartmind which auto scores using your phone camera it does depend a lot on how good the lighting is and it’s 12.99 for the year, for playing online you get 20 coins for that initial sub and it costs 1 coin everytime you use your camera against another human player looks to be 6.99 for a further 50 coins, but you can auto score on your own all the time just the initial sub

Cheers for this! Would be nice to be able to play online without the fancy equipment for now, I'm going to try get at least one hour a day for a couple of weeks and see how I get on.

I understand every throw needs to be precise from grip to release etc.

I’ve been tampering with how I hold it think I’m better holding it further up the dart but I’m still quite erratic, I’m using the freebie darts that came with the board as well I’m hoping to get a decent set next month

Spent another hour or so today, I feel better on the 19's than I do the 20's, been playing vs the computer on the Russ Bray app but it's only 201 start, almost checked out 110 with a treble 20 treble 16 and not far off the double 2.

Obviously I'm aiming for these targets, sometimes it feels like it's luck, can definitely feel it in the throw if I throw a bad dart.

I'm hoping I can keep getting at least an hour in a day.

I’m just playing away at 501 against the bot on darts counter, currently on level 3 but have blown 2-0 lead twice now to lose 3-2 despite massively out scoring it, really hot and cold just when I think I’ve cracked the aiming it deserts me again, enjoying it though which is the main thing I suppose.

Most mental thing is when your first dart sails into treble 20 you can’t get a decent grouping to even hit 100 never mind a 2nd and 3rd treble but if your first dart flies into treble 1 or 5 you bet the next 2 darts fly right in close

I'm glad you never got the double 2 cos you would've burst your score. 🤭

Have been on it a little today, just finished 3 games vs dart bot level 3, my 3 dart averages were 44.21, 42.94 and 44.87.

No idea if this is any good for a beginner with 6 days of about an hour a day practice.

Checking out is my main issue which I will practice on.

Missing the doubles really effects my average, didn't have the energy or patience yesterday but will have an hour before the darts tonight.

What a standard ! That was brilliant to watch , Good to see Littler telling the crowd to stop booing when MVG was on a finish , Seriously getting pissed off with this booing in the Darts lark !! It's honestly putting me off watching Darts

Take your booing and get it to **** !!

My boy had been banging on about getting a dartboard for weeks and finally got round to getting him one, his first time playing and he loves it, we have been playing every night this week, his only issue is the darts supplied aren't great for him, he says they are too light and being a wee guy he doesn't quite have the power to get the dart fully in the board also putting flights back on is getting on his nerves, is he better with a heavier dart and what's the solution to flights staying put

What gram are the darts to you now? The ones I got are basic Luke Littler 22g darts from Argos for £15.

    https://youtube.com/shorts/u5n1Gu3jvOQ?si=JnIoQ_lRS48w3brb

Will stop the flights coming out, the darts I have I've had the flights come out I'd say about 4 times and I've used them alot, my only issue is my board is cheap and darts can fly out when hitting the wire, the same board in the open goal video which Kevin Kyle points out about the wires.

Anyway good luck and hope your sons keeps it up, I've had alot of fun since getting one last week, yet to hit a 180, my highest is 140 but that's been a one off so far.

I’m having the same issues using darts that came with the board, I’m going to go to a dart shop tomorrow and have a throw of a few see what suits.

With flights if you have a look at k-flex here
    https://www.target-darts.co.uk/dart-accesories/k-flex

you will get them different pricing so shop around if you do go for them a wee tip not to screw them completely in so they have a little movement when hitting off your other darts, maybe find they add a little extra weight to your dart as well if it’s only a small adjustment the wee man needs

Cross will be disappointed with himself, MVG wins comfortable against Bunting to set up MVG vs Littler again.
