Yeah both the Aussie and NZ ones were really good, the UK ones have been good too but the last one seemed a bit stale at the end compared to last years, they should keep the previous format as the tinkering on this show let it down. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I really enjoy the show, the last season, especially the final couple of episodes was one of the best bits of TV in years imo but I wonder how much of that fall out has effected the programme, I felt a lot of choices where quite bizarre throughout almost like there was interference from elsewhere and I didn’t think this of any of the other 2 series.

Bizarre that Frankie picked the Traitor out of the choices available to the Seer did not see that coming
The Seer business ruined what is usually a top notch watch also felt that Leanne should have picked Frankie after making a sisters alliance for their boys
Trust no one
Agree ditch the Seer spoils the gameLast edited by BILLYHIBS; 28-01-2025 at 08:32 AM.

The Seer bit had potential - but crashed and burned because of who became Seer and who they chose.
I wasn't so keen on the final few players not revealing their status tbh. I think it would have been great if they'd known they'd got a good few traitors out in a short space of time and maybe didn't need to be as mistrusting of the likes of Alexander and Frankie as they obviously felt they needed to be.

Watched the first episode of "Prime Target" on Apple TV. It was not good. Really quite bad in every way.
I had a quick search on Twitter to see what reviews may have been. Lots of negative comments which I expected, but I was taken aback by how many comments were along the lines of. "Watched Prime Target, there was a gay scene in the first 10 minutes... Switched it off. Why does every show have to have sex / gay scenes?" Basically a ton of complete homophobia, given the character is gay but there is not even an onscreen kiss, never mind anything more graphic.
WTF is wrong with people? Twitter is a cesspit but seems like we've regressed 30 years to a point where people are quite happy to be openly bigoted.

I would see too many spoilers if I waited. Plus I do quite enjoy the online chat re theories/easter eggs between episodes. I think Severance is the biggest thing since Lost for this kinda thing.

Why is everyone giving away Traitor spoilers?
No point me watching it now even though I've tried to avoid the comments.

Just started One Hundred Years of Solitude on Netflix.
A bit nervous, as I don't want it to be ***** and spoil my memory of a wonderful book.
Anybody got any opinions yet?

Marquez always refused to give permission when he was alive. It's his family who have given their blessing now, and a couple of them are exec producers.
The current series is 8 episodes, and I think there are another 8 in the can.

Watching the Murder Trial on BBC2. 2nd or 3rd trial that has had a show like this made about it.
A tragic case but I like watching the methodical nature of how a case is prosecuted and the forensic timeline and criminology the prosecution tries to establish. It's a contrast to the often dramatic portrayal of a trial in fictional shows which tend to have rambling monologues, a shock piece of evidence and regular outbursts. I also like the defence lawyers explaining how as why they defend people who have committed horrific crimes and how people fail to see why that is important so the crown can get a conviction that is safe and not open to appeal.

Just as a general aside. I'm not a huge fan of tv but watch a bit, in a discerning way. Just revisited Peaky Blinders, having enjoyed it first time around. It's still good but this time I watched in a slightly binge way (by my standards), a few episodes a night.
Got to say, I started finding it a bit wearing. Good TV isn't made for binge watching, far better to view episode by episode as it's screened. With the Peaky Blinders, it all started getting a bit predictable and one dimensional.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned The White Lotus, but what a series!
It's like a car crash which keeps getting worse but is impossible to stop watching.
It's actually genius how the director has made it such an uncomfortable watch. I keep hoping for something redeeming to happen but it just doesn't let up.
It's absurd, it can be funny, there's always an underlying suggestion of threat and it's utterly compelling.
I've got 2 episodes of season 2 to go, then I'll be able to breathe!
I have the whole series available but I can only watch one per night.

Watched the first couple of episodes of The Crow Girl, decent enough so far. Quite an impressive cast.

Probably been mentioned before but Uncanny with Danny Robins is fun viewing. I hadn't seen it before but one of my kids was watching it and I got sucked in. It's a bit theatrical but Robins is a likeable presenter and overall the (seemingly) paranormal stuff is quite well done. I gather it began life as a podcast.

I'm trying not to think of it as a book adaptation, and treating it as a completely new thing. In that light, I'm enjoying it. Love the magical aspects (which, although I'm trying not to remember it, was one of the things I liked about the book).
Some of the camera shots are superb. The acting.... it's difficult to tell when it's subtitled, but I do know that the directors relied a lot on locals without much acting experience.
Like Bollah, I'm a bit confused by the sex scenes. Maybe that was lost in the translation I readLast edited by CropleyWasGod; 05-02-2025 at 05:12 PM.
