Finished Say Nothing. What an emotional roller coaster. I laughed I cried and I shouted at the TV. Well worth watching for anyone that hasn’t seen it.
Started watching this on Disney + last night. It's very good so far.

Possibly already been discussed as the first season was a couple of years ago, but anyone watched The Old Man on Disney+? I gave it a go and found the first season largely good, primarily because of the calibre of the two leads Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow. It had a bit of an early Homeland feel about it and while Bridges' capacity to beat up much younger assailants stretched credulity I stuck with it. It seemed to go into limbo and I'd forgotten about it until I spotted that the second season had finally been released recently. Don't know if they've changed the writing team or whether they just didn't know where to go with it but it's pretty much unwatchable. Ludicrous plot and clunky script, I've given up on it after the first three episodes. Something went badly askew between the two seasons.
Just watched episode 1 of season 2 and bored to tears , Will give it another episode

Vikings is outstanding! Much better than Valhalla. Warning: You’re about to fall in love with a shield maiden named Lagertha 😉

Vikings is top tier TV. Easily in my top 5 best shows ever. It's phenomenal, a little slow at the start, but wow, it's worth persisting with.

I thought it was better, to be honest.

Up there with Andor, which was also brilliant.
Would you recommend Andor? We watched The Mandalorian and started a couple of the other ones but got bored of them. I quite fancy Andor, mainly because I know somebody that is in it but I can't persuade the missus - and it was her who got me into Star Wars in the first place.

Andor is incredible. Some of the best ever Star Wars IMO.

It’s also arguably the least “Star Warsy”….. It’s much more like a gritty spy story and there’s no Force or light sabres.

The pacing is a bit weird at first, it almost runs in batches of 3/4 episodes wrapping up shorter stories. But it really works.

Agreed, but weirdly I thought it felt more Star Warsy for it, it’s brilliant - think there’s a season two coming soon which I can’t wait for.

I’m watching the West Wing again. For the fourth time I think.

I loved it the first time round but the messianic depiction of the president looks a bit unrealistic now

I agree with every word of your review and I’m not a massive Star Wars fan.

Silo is decent and they are making a season 3 & 4

Can’t make my other comment about it without a spoiler.

    I've read the books.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Severance. Season 2 has started very strongly, best thing on TV at the moment IMO

I mentioned it, but maybe that was on the PM board. It's like nothing I've ever seen before. Indescribable but very good.

I'm leaving season 2 until a few episodes mount up. I can't wait a week for every episode!

Severance is next on the list for me. Hadn’t heard of it until the S2 trailers came out.

    Half way through Black Doves.

Started fantastically but by the end of S3 it's a bit mental with so many parts to it

There'll be plenty drama and it will be decent enough viewing I'm sure

Was persuaded to give The Traitors a go after ignoring it for a couple of years. Turned out to be great family viewing. Final episode felt like an anti-climax though with what is apparently a new twist ('The Seer') basically screwing the only remaining traitor's chances. She'd have won otherwise I think.

We were the same. Be interesting to watch the earlier series as I think I noticed a way you can work out who is who by a combination of the order they come in at breakfast and the order they do the round table in.

Last year's was better. Also I watched the Australian one. That had a brilliant ending!
