Higgins 5-1 up, now 5-5 final frame decider. Come on John!
    I was there, was brilliant.

Nice one, a cracker of a match to be in person for. I go down to the crucible every year and now the Scottish open at Meadowbabk.

As a big Higgins fan it’s so frustrating watching him. He’s still got it, but lost that killer instinct the last 5 or 10 years and just can’t get over the line like he used to. Though don’t think that was the case today or that he did much wrong. Simply (grudging) credit due to Robertson.

Masters has been brilliant this week. I’ve even managed to get my missus into watching the snooker over the last year or so, got her hooked on the world championship to the point she was watching it in the house on her own when ‘working from home’ 😂😂

By far my favourite sport to sit and watch, I’d watch it before football these days. Just a shame I’m absolutely hopeless with a highest break of about 16

Snooker like football have no characters these days. Give me 80's, 90's players rather than today's robots.

O'Sullivan coming to the end, so all you have left is Judd Trump.

I wouldn't have mentioned Trump. Yes he's talented but he isn't a 'character' as such. Unless being a mouth is all it takes to be a character.

Yes your right about the character. But he has talent on the table, only player I would pay to watch. What that guy can do with a cue ball. Not seen the likes since Hurricane & Whirlwind.

I’m not sure characters are all that important without the skill to match it. You’ve got Vufai and Poomjaeng who are both characters, especially the latter. Their novelty wears off quite quickly though as both average ability wise.

Trump is the one to watch, but I also enjoy Selby’s match play which is the polar opposite style wise.

Yes you need the talent. Which players in 80's - 90's had in abundance along with character. Funny how no one has mentioned Murphy winning the Masters, also achieving a 147 along the way.

Did you see the Allen/Selby black ball finish. It lasted at least 8 mins. Only a purist would enjoy that. Someone tuning in for the 1st time IMHO would have switched off classing it as boring.

Some of the frames I enjoy watching most are the cat and mouse battles where snookers are required, or the counter 50 and 60 odd counter clearances under pressure.

I didn’t see the 147 live despite having the masters on in the background most of the week. Still to see a 147 live. I saw Hendry at the Crucible before his 1st retirement the day AFTER his 147 😕 I can’t quite work out why but can’t take to Sean Murphy at all.
