Won't someone think of the child murders. No one is saying the government or prison officers should hand out beatings, but you can also be delighted a child abuser and murderer suffered pain

It wasn't summary justice anyway. Summary justice is what happens before or instead of a proper trial. He had a full, proper, trial and was sentenced to a minimum of 40 years in prison.

I'm not celebrating because I'm not a fan of vigilantism anyway, and especially not criminal vigilantism. It's better if the court system, rather than groups of criminals, administers punishment.

If society in general, as well as most of this thread, wants to see the perp suffer physically like he has, then the sentence should have been 'a minimum of 40 years in prison with the occasional slash to the neck with sharpened metal and regular beatings from anyone who cares to join in'.

I'm against the death penalty because innocent people will inevitably die. I'm against criminal vigilantism because some of the people in prison are innocent, and will inevitably suffer from lawlessness in prisons.
I understand and respect your view but I will disagree.

They tortured, burned, bit and struck that defenceless little girl for years. She sustained countless injuries. I cannot contemplate the pain and fear she suffered during this reign of terror but I know this, any pain or injury suffered or sustained by those responsible is more than deserved.

The cowards will serve their sentences in fear of others and rightly so imho.

I cannot understand why all three didn’t get a full life term for this heinous crime.

Summary justice is also a slang term for using violence in revenge ….. I will not use slang in the future and I am fully aware that he was tried and convicted legally.

I'm having difficulty feeling sorry for him.
    I’m with you there.

Won’t shed a single tear for him and what he will go through for the next few decades.

Many more things to feel sad about.
