Anything light hearted that you care to admit to not liking, never watched or never tried etc?
I only tried scampi fries earlier this month for the first time - absolutely loved them btw!
I've also never really got the whole "friends" fascination. I'm 35 and most friends/acquaintances my age are disgusted that I can't recall their references

Why have I never...

Good idea for a thread.
Going to the cinema would probably be mine. I've obviously been to the cinema but since I turned about 25 you could probably count on 2 hands how many times I have been and of that the vast majority will have been with the kids. It's just not something my wife or I would ever choose to do it we have time with just the 2 of us. I remember there was a load of hilarity a few years back when Michael Owen said he didn't like films (and I know he was extreme) but I kind of got him. I don't mind watching a film but I don't have to see something the day it comes out, I can happily wait weeks or months to watch it and if I miss a 'must see' I can't say I'm all that bothered. If I have a free evening going to the cinema would be way down my list of things I'd choose to do. One of my best mates does a full on Poundland Barry Norman in our WhatsApp group every time something new comes out. Fair play to him if it's what he is into but I'm just not that ersed; if I get round to something and like it then great, If I don't then I don't really care.
I've also never eaten at Wagamama. If I leaned far enough out my bedroom window now I could almost see one but it has just never appealed to me. Same with the likes of Nandos. If I'm going out for a meal then I want to go out out. If I want something quick and cheap(ish) then I'd rather just grab a McDonalds or something.Last edited by Pretty Boy; 27-12-2024 at 11:48 PM.

I'm another vote for Friends. Saw a bit of a thanksgiving related episode many years ago. That's my lot.
Gavin and Stacey. Drew the big viewership this Xmas. Never seen an episode.

I adore film and tv but there are some films that people go on about as classics and who are regularly in the running for best film ever, the more people go on about them the more I refuse to watch them, I can't even tell you the reason why, I just know it's never going to happen, the list includes Shawshank Redemption, Schindlers List, Titanic

Never had a cup of coffee in my life. Love the smell of it, but never drank it.

Used Linkedin is another for me.
It's close to obligatory in my line for work where both self promotion and indulging the self promotion of others is expected but I just can't do it. I get sent stuff from it all the time and I want no part of it.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Other than injecting heroin or other hard drugs, I'm struggling to find anything I've not tried at least once.
There's lots of things I've tried but didn't like that I could list, but that's not what this thread is about.
Maybe I should start a thread about things I've really tried to get into but couldn't for one reason or another.

Never been to Spain or any of its islands.
Nando's.
Wagamama's.
xG stats.
There's actually a surprising amount of things on this thread that I haven't got involved in either.Last edited by HUTCHYHIBBY; 28-12-2024 at 02:56 PM.

I’ve never eaten a mushroom. Dunno what originally put me off them, but it’s almost phobic at this point. I don’t want to eat anything that they’re even touching.

I've never rode a horse.
Never will.
Don't think I'll regret much in life but think that's something I'd have liked to have done. Too old now. Getting flung from one now would probably end me.

Probably plenty for me, some mentioned on this thread like gavin and Stacey, and never trying coffee.
I’ve never gotten the bug for travelling. I know people who are always away on weekend breaks across Europe, love trying new cultures, even just getting a drink in a foreign pub. I genuinely am not interested at all (all power to those who are btw), I wouldn’t get excited by that at all. Even places in the UK, I was once working down near London, and my colleagues were all for going into the city and trying a few pubs and some sightseeing before getting the train home, I said I’d rather get up the road and quite happily got the train back up myself

Also me, never had the urge to try anything.
In addition, I’ve never placed a bet or set foot in a bookies.

Never drunk coffee, rank smelling.
Don't get hot drinks at all, backwards imo.
Never tried fags or non prescription (medication) drugs.
Not a fan of film or cinema, I'll watch stuff but I absolutely don't get when people are excited for a film. I doubt that when you're dying, you'll suddenly regret not watching a Marvel film.
Comic books and adults who like them?
Family guy and such like.
Ski'd - this one is a regret, I'd have liked to try it.

I too have never skied, not a fan of being freezing at the best of times never mind being surrounded by snow and falling in it most of the time, you can add skating and curling to that.
