You've obviously not had the covid vaccine, otherwise Bill Gates would be using it to control you and you'd have spontaneously combusted by now.

Find the Tesco coverage is best I’ve had. Better than 3 and EE

They use the o2 network, I'm on voxi (Vodafone network) which is a fantastic price but the 5G isn't the greatest at times

If they bring out 6g I won’t bother upgrading.

We’ve definitely been sold a pup with 5g.

I flip between 4g and 5g on Lebara, uses Vodafone.

I can't say I've ever been let down by it and I doubt I'll ever use the perks offered by the major networks!

21g for under £8. More than I'll use unless I'm roaming in too many countries to mention. And no price increases over the last few years.

It's a no brainer for those that are sim only.

Next time your contract is up or you're thinking about a new phone and contract combined check out the refurbished market.

5g works well outside when you have direct sight of the mast but has a fairly short distance, doesn't work well through walls or indoor, they would need to put up lots more of them so there are more close by, in comparison 4g can travel quite a long distance, think it's along the lines of 1000 foot for 5g and about 10 miles for 4g

Been with EE for around 10 years and never had any issues with getting coverage.

O2 coverage (phone signal and 5G) has been awful around the Jewel/Fort Kinnaird/Niddrie area for ages.

They have acknowledged there is an issue with a mast in the area but have said there is no timeline on a fix. Still happy to charge full whack for an inferior service of course.

I left o2 years ago for Vodafone for this very reason. Utter crap coverage made worse by even worse customer service.

I noticed I was getting 5g on my phone in the house a few months ago. Invested in a 5g router and an unlimited sim on 3 (£15 pm) and I'm getting around 300 - 350Mbps download speed now, my Plusnet "Superfast", the fastest I could get, was only getting around 40Mbps for more than double the price.

I keep seeing people using 5G/4G at the Hibs games (and Scotland games). For anyone on here that does, what network are you on?

I'm with O2 and it is useless at any reasonable sized event or busy place. It has the bars showing as if there is signal but absolutely nothing works. Can't get a proper working signal at any football game, concert, etc. Edinburgh city centre is a black spot too between Haymarket and the Bridges with the exception of really late at night.

At large events I switch down to 3G, not ideal but you can send messages etc.

Fixed now according to my partner, they sorted the mask at the entrance to ASDA last week.

    Go in to settings
    Mobile Service
    Mobile Data Options
Voice and Data and select what is available there. Sometimes you can only swap to 4G

EE. Can get 5G at Hampden and Easter Road without issues.

    I’m with O2.

I find it’s ok at ER whilst play is underway, albeit it cuts out altogether at ht and ft, as you might expect It to.

Do tell everyone – if everyone switches down to 3G then 4/5G will work fine…
