What is the alternative, though? You work hard on a style, sign players that fit and get promoted. You are then supposed to turn into a totally different team in a few months? It's very difficult.

I don't totally agree with Martin's style and trying it with that quality of player (relative to the opposition) but changing might cost more money than they had.

Monty at Hibs was very different. Martin can point to a successful season.
