I was amazed how quickly VAR gave the goal teh nod. One angle it looked like handball and lots of pulling and pushing

That's not a foul St J player runs into the Celtic player, if that's what is getting given then you could penalise any set play into a box, if that's given as a foul why wasn't the countless pushing and shoving not given as a foul for Shanklands goal
