I thought he said he'd retired.

Neil Collins the new Raith head coach.
'Always our first choice' according to Raith, despite having failed in a bid to land the Linfield boss.

    Bewildering that they sacked Murray.

Sounds like there's more to the Murray departure than is being reported.

Hopefully he gets a opportunity to get back into management soon.

    Not so sure.

Despite how it is being discussed, it wasn't "after just 1 game". The LC performances and results weren't encouraging. And things hadn't been great since January.

There was also the question of his continually changing the team selection. A lot of fans (and players, of course) weren't happy with that. Personally, I thought it was an asset and showed the strength of the squad.

Maybe it is, I’ve lost the fondness I had for them with the way Murray was treated

very good manager, but Everton are a real mess. When you see how things have panned out since, he didn’t do that bad a job at Man Utd. I suspect he would have done a job given more time and resource.

True about the league cup groups but I still find it baffling after one league game. I don't get this argument that things hadn't been great since Jan. What were they expecting? They finished comfortably second when I don't recall that many even tipping them for top 4 at the start of the season, never mind challenging for the title or promotion. If anything, I'd say Murray had them punching above their weight.

Lovely that the big ****bags last defeat was at Easter Rd. Surely won’t get another job in management now.

    Cheer-io Craig Levein.

Don’t think we will see him again in the SPFL.

  27. #3507
No surprise in that. They had absolutely nothing about them on Saturday.

Different regime in charge right enough but they emptied him when he was assistant before Levein came in.

They're a terrible side. You look at the squad on paper and really struggle to see how any manager could get a tune out of them.

Always good to see Levein out on his arse though.
