I guess it’s good to gauge progress given the vast increase in investment and also exposure and see if that’s translating into a bigger support and see the trends. It’s always going to be contentious but surely transparency is best policy.

I agree on the transparency- could also allay the fears of it being a vast increase in investment. There’s clearly more than nothing but the women still have jobs and the girls academy still have to fundraise to cover costs.

There must have been a decent investment over last few years if some players are on some degree of professional contract, they have been advertising for a women’s team kit manager or the likes on 25k per year so just open up and talk about the changes and the rationale behind it. At the end of the day I’d imagine each part of the club has to at some point be financially viable.

Yeah there’s been some investment and by not being explicit the club have left themselves open to it sounding like a lot more has been invested.

Not sure if it needs to be financially viable? The mens team isn’t for example but I don’t think many on here would say we should stop funding it?
