What is it with us and artificial pitches

We never seem to be able to play on them , we must train on them but just never seem in my opinion comfortable on them , passing astray , crosses wayward etc , what’s the thoughts ?

I think we just don’t have enough players who are good receiving the ball in tight areas

Take Josh Campbell as the number 10 for example. Full of energy and gets about, gets in the box, makes runs in behind. I actually like Josh.

But in games like today where the pitch is a bit tighter, a bit stickier I think he need a 10 who is able to receive the ball with his back to goal and provide a bit of magic with a half turn etc

None of our central midfielders at the end had the ability to do this.

Miller on the right has no idea what to do with the ball in an attacking sense and just runs it out of play or until he gives away a foul.

We need players who possess real quality in the final third.

Even on the opposite, if we’re struggling we don’t have a big striker who is physical and will mix it up for us.
