    One of the things they mentioned about the new platform was the ability to cast it, so depending on your tv that might avoid the problem – open Hibs TV on your phone/computer and cast it to your tv.
    I have my Firestick hooked up to my home LAN, so I get great quality video.

    Using a phone via WIFI, then casting also via the same WIFI is going to degrade quality.

    Unlikely, unless your wifi is awful then it's not going to be the slowest link in the chain.

    Trust me I've tried, and the quality doesn't match.
