Great win for my County today in the Ulster quarter final against the much fancied Derry . Donegal with a young team and Jim McGuinness back as manager were triumphant by a score of Derry 0-17 4-11 DONEGAL. Even though no one really gives them a chance .

Is there a reason you can't drink at your seat in GAA games? I noticed that Leinster and Northampton's sell-out game at Croke Park is being forced to adhere to GAA rules due to them owning the stadium, and that's one of them.
It's hard to stitch my own back with these shaky hands
But even harder to accept the scars you left were planned

Connacht final tomorrow throw-in 4pm, Mayo take on the Tribesmen in Galway, Mayo slight favourite 10/11 and Galway 5/4.
If Mayo lose they get a easier tie in next round than if they win today - I think
Up Mayo, this is the year!Last edited by BS44; 05-05-2024 at 03:12 PM.

Mayo win their first group game yesterday 0-20 1-8 against Cavan, next up are our Connacht neighbours Roscommon and the final group game is Dublin, obviously a dress rehearsal for the final on July 28th!

Mayo beat Roscommon and qualify for the preliminary quarter-finals, although it could be straight into the quarters if we beat Dublin in the final round of group games.
Up Mayo!

Mayo and Dublin slugging it out at the moment, Dublin ahead by a point with twenty minutes left.

Unbelievable, Dublin equalise with the last play of the game three minutes into injury time for 0-17 0-17 tie. Dubs had a man sent off with two minutes to go, Mayo take the lead and still blow it, the manager and players looked rightly gutted at the finish of the game
Dublin through to quarter-final and Mayo go through as a seeded team in the preliminary quarter-finals

Mayo managed to knock themselves out of The Sam last week. Point up in injury time they allow Derry to equalise, then three points down in extra time Mayo score three times and a draw at full time, but lose on penalties.
This weekend it's the quarter-finals and they'll all be played at Croke Park, and Taylor Swift is in Dublin Town at the same time.
Saturday it's Armagh v Roscommon throw-in 16.00, then Dublin v Galway is 18.15. Sunday the other two games, Donegal Hibby's team play Louth at 13.15, last match is Kerry v Derry 15.15
Dublin 6/4 to win the Sam, then Kerry are 9/4, Donegal and Armagh are next nearest at the bookie both 7/1Last edited by BS44; 28-06-2024 at 11:32 PM.

Bad news is I've stuck a few quid on Donegal and I have a right habit of Jonah teams after betting on them!
