FFS, its Engurland what is difficult for a Scot to dislike, 2 faced patronising shower that they are.
I try not to dislike people only based on where they were born.

Guys like Terry, Lampard, Gerrard, Ferdinand, Cole were/are absolute dicks. Racism, assault, cheating on wife who had cancer, those are good reasons to dislike people.

Team of the quarter final according to sofa score. Just seen it on twitter. Can't say it's very accurate, no French defenders is weird.

Too many Portuguese thought Saliba would be in.

I think the attacking players are spot on, Mendes was also exceptional in an attacking sense so thats fair too for the quarter finals in exclusion. Over the whole tournament ive been really impressed by Kadioglu at right back for Turkey and Dani Carvajal but Kounde,Theo Hernandez and Saliba would all be in my team of the tournament, Frances defence is so strong. Id have ****e in front of them too, hes been faultless. Gakpo and Guler would play (not sure where Gulers position actually is, i saw him described as a false 9), but both have been exceptional going forward. Loads of good performances in goal but ill go with Donnarumma who was ridiculous. Weirdly noone really jumps out from Spain despite being the best team, maybe the collective is better than the sum of their parts?

I think Rodri, Rice and ****e have all been very good. An argument for any of all of them. Nico Williams has caused havoc too.

Think Saliba has been excellent. Probably looking at him as the best in the world over the last year.

He was the best in the world at Marseille as well, but the media don’t pay attention because its not England

The French defensive unit has been superb.

Spain have taken a lot of plaudits so far as they have been the slickest attacking outfit but you could argue at this point that it’s the team that finds a way through that French defence that will win this tournament.

Everybody's going on about how good the French defence is, against Portugal they were carved open several times, one in particular Ronaldo should have scored.

Even when they have been carved open their goalkeeper has been there to bail them out.

As per England - sometimes good teams get breaks along the way too.

And unlike England, they’ve played a few teams of substance, where the shut outs have been admirable.

I was going to say that too, Mike Maignan is part of the defence and when world class players like Leao or Bernardo Silva broke through, he made two great saves. We’ll see what happens against Spain.

Difficult to argue Switzerland weren’t a team of substance

Switzerland were decent. Well organised and good defensively but they aren't a top level team. Scotland done pretty well against them and we were one of the worst teams in the tournament.

England could win the whole thing but they've been incredibly lucky in the draw. IMO it's pretty unlikely they'd have won it if they were in the other side of the draw.

France on the other hand have already played Holland, Belgium, Portugal and have to get past Spain tomorrow. The way England have played at tournament, only not impossible, I don't think they'd have got through that run of games.

Is this England team difficult to dislike? Am I in the minority then?

Maybe not all of us are consumed by hatred?

A likeable bunch of players and a likeable manager. I have no problem saying that.
A number of players easily dislikeable Pickford Foden Walker are absolute tools.

Plus Bellingham's had a near-historic rise up the list of unlikeable footballers in such a short space of time.

I don't give a monkey's how likeable or dislikeable the England players are, or indeed how good they are, I just want them to lose every game they play, same as I do with Hearts.

I don't mind the English players and team, it's the pundits and press that annoy me. For a team that's only won the world cup in 66, they have such a high opinion of themselves.

Really looking forward to the game tonight . Spain missing Pedri and Carvajal is a blow for them .

Should be an interesting battle between the best attacking team thats netted 11 goals against the best defense which as only conceded 1 goal in 5 games .

Interesting fact , every time the two have clashed in a knockout the winner has went on to lift the trophy, it happened in 84 ,2000 , 2012 I think .

I'm by no means biased, I don't care which one of them beats England.

Griezmann dropped. I fancy him to score off the bench.

Should be 1-0 Spain. Great ball from Yamal.
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.
