Not a good few minutes for Celtic. With hearts being so far in front of us I feel this is a no lose situation. Watch one of the old firm squirm or watch Hearts get beat playing against 10 men for 70mins🤷🏼

Red for me, even if he doesn't fully connect can't get much more dangerous than that!

With the Tiny capacity, segregation and all the empty seats they'll be lucky if there's 14k at that game
Surely there’s a turnstile problem, or it’s Mothers Day, or there’s rugby on at Murrayfield or…

Couldnt be a tiny Tynie attendance for Attendance FC?!

Don’t think you can tackle folk at head height and get away with it these days.
He didn't tackle him though, it's more an attempt to control the ball. I dunno what the definitions are nowadays though. I'd say it's reckless but there is no force in it and it's not a red card offence for me.

Spawny Jambo bassas. They ironically concede a penalty similar to the one they got against us but Celtic botch it. I don’t think it was red …… yellow all day in my book. They’ll probably go on to win this now.

He could of played it with his head, instead of sticking his boot up to head hight???

Robertson looks like he has lost control of the game and doesn't look confident even giving a foul now.

A pretty perfect 15 minutes or so to showcase the abysmal state of Scottish officiating, dramatically affecting the outcome of what should be a big and interesting game.

I don’t think those high feet challenges should be red unless it’s clear that the player was aware of the opponent challenging for the ball with his head. Let’s say a player goes to attempt an over head kick but a defender attempts to head the ball, straight red? Straight reds should be awarded for deliberate serious play in my opinion.

And then Celtics goal called offside, rightly, but unnecessarily long delay in assistants flag. This game is like an exemplar of everything thats wrong with how the sport is officiated.

He’s a clown who once sent off Stevenson ridiculously - he’s always been poor.

Chris Sutton calling out the delay for the offside - struggling to understand why people don't get this. It's pretty obvious they have to wait for play to unfold these days - its the only sensible way to do things with VAR in operation.

I thought it was a red annoyingly. He sees the Hearts player there and has the option to pull out of the challenge but still raises his foot to head height. In the modern game that is only going one way.

It was more dangerous/reckless than the one the Killie player got sent off against us for last season and plenty argued that was a clear red.

Aberdeen away and our equaliser there showed why.

Eight defensive players in their team. Eight.

And they are playing against ten men now. Surely to god Stevie NaiCourage will bring an attacker on.

And by the way, if you were one of the SEVEN THOUSAND (no laughing at the back) on the waiting list you’d be raging. Tiny is absolutely bereft of cardigans today.

It’s a clear red. I thought it was harsh at first, but on replay his foot is far too high with a hearts players head so close. You cannae do that nowadays.

Exactly. Out of all the things that gets criticised these days its the one thing that actually makes sense.

  25. #11994
Red card for me , Killie had a player sent of against us for a similar incident and I thought it was also dangerous play too.

Don't see why VAR can't do the check and tell the ref straight away without having to let the play conclude. That one was so obvious they could have done it in 5 seconds.

I’m at the stage I don’t know what the rule is these days. No argument his foot was high, but looked like Cochrane moved into it rather than him kicking Cochrane.

That's my glass half full take on the game. I just want to see comedy goals, sending offs, farcical referee decisions and the supporters going tonto. No lose scenario for me today.

Its just another element of the whole VAR farce. We’ve already seen serious injuries happen in these 30 seconds of dead time’. They should have the confidence to make the call otherwise you may as well not have assistants.

Have you seen how long it takes them sometimes to draw lines to check properly?

There are plenty of offside decisions that have seemed obvious either way over the years that have turned out to be wrong. Linesman keeps his flag down until play stops then they check it - common sense.
