    No stand outs for hibs.
But 2 cracking goals, but not great defending at st johnstone goals.

Hibs v that other lot at HTC on Friday evening 1st Dec, providing it beat the freeze. Hearts second bottom and Hibs May have Landers and Rudi available as the first team don’t play until Sunday. Not sure if Whitaker will play with Miller missing for the Dons game.

  12. #641
    Is it 7pm
Molotnikov was withdrawn last friday after 68 minutes of playing for the under 18 last friday, so he could play in the first team pool, at the weekend, apparently if you play 70 minutes or more , you can’t play in another game. 😳

    Yeah, Whitaker won't be risked.

what's the story with Mccalister. Was around the first team over the summer and start of the season but since the Montgomery has come in I havent seen him about the first team squad. Has he been injured or just not a right fit yet, i know he is quite small.

He’s been involved in most of the games i’ve been at, so don’t think he’s been injured, he played in the last game at under 18 against st johnstone. and scored a great goal, he is still very young, but he really isn’t standing out above any of the others .
Jacob mcintyre has been out for quite a while with an injury, he plays for scotland, and looks a much better prospect ,in my opinion.

Reuben Macalister has been playing in all U18s and Reserve games and has been doing well, really coming on to his game, he scored against Saints Johnstone last week.
Jacob MacIntyre is back running but unlikely to feature before the winter break, he has a screw fitted into his foot after breaking his metatarsal.
Owen Hastie could be out for a few weeks with a back injury.
Also I was hearing that Murray Aiken (on lone at Airdrie) could be out for some time, not sure what his injury is but they were talking about a plate being fitted, does not sound too good.

He's done his ankle in. It's on the loan players thread. Think he's due back next year, as he did it about 4-6 weeks ago.

He's been playing ok but not sticking out. I think we all know the reason why he was promoted to the first team.

Hibs lost 0-2 to Queens Park, another very young side out who got outplayed tonight. Play Queens Park again on Tuesday afternoon.

Info from Maurice Dougan on Twitter.

With whittaker , molotnikov, and landers ,in the full squad recently, and many under 18 games on friday nights, the under 18s might struggle to get results this season.
But this is what the youth set up is really about, finding future players that can move up.
I’m absolutely delighted, the way monty has shown there is a pathway into the first team.

Sub Dean Cleland got the second in stoppage time, it was a square pass from Rudi Molotnivok but just as Rudi crossed it, the floodlights failed. (Saying floodlights, it was more like their Christmas fairy lights). Also their artificial pitch is over ten years old and not in the best condition, it is getting replaced next year.
As an aside, Queen’s budget for their development set-up is more than they spend on their first team.
