Surely he’s playing for time so he can get elected then pardon himself?
He had the chance to pardon himself before but knew how the optics would look so pleaded innocence. Now he’s portraying it as a witch hunt which is seeing him leading in the polls.
I must say, I hate him. I hate what he did in Scotland. I think he is an absolute buffoon but there is so many cases against him, it’s hard to not believe it is a bit of a witch hunt.

And why do you think it’s a witch hunt? If he’s guilty then he should be prosecuted surely?

Or he's facing so many charges because he's committed so many serious crimes?

It was an absolute disgrace that Nixon got away with numerous criminal acts simply because he was President. That cannot be allowed to happen again, especially when Trump has literally tried to stage a coup and illegally take over the country.

I hate that he has abused his ‘status’ to get planning for his golf courses in Scotland shafted us.
I hope he rots in jail.
But…things like over inflating his wealth to get loans etc. I’m sure many do that. If he defaulted on a loan and the bank investigated and he was found to have given false statements then yes I can understand the charges.
But no one is bringing a case against him apart from the state.
I think it would be better to have 3-4 absolutely solid cases against him and nail him. Instead you have so many cases that it gives his supporters a cause to fight against.

In essence, Trump (allegedly) violated state fraud laws, and made a massive amount of money in doing so.
Anybody else that did this would also be subject to prosecution.

I just wish they’d hurry up and get him to trial. Put him to be d for good.
That said, isn’t there something bizarre that a serving felon although cannot vote but can run for President?

As others have said it certainly looks like he is riding the wave of indictments, pushing them as far up the court circuit system as he can so he can try and become president again, where he would pardon himself, this of course works for federal law breaking, Trump's problem is most of his indictments are state led indictments. There are a few saying that he would force through new laws to allow him to pardon himself at state level too but lets be clear, if he wins a second term the laws and constitution of the USA will become pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

The second motion to dismiss could be interpreted as an admission of guilt, just that the law doesn’t apply. Now that the motion has been dismissed, you wonder where it leaves his acceptance of what he did. A but like someone saying they shouldn’t pay a parking ticket because they don’t need to adhere to double yellows, then when that fails, they’ve essentially said they were parked on the lines.

Over here, after the 13 years of disastrous Tory rule they are still polling around 27%. I think many voters are a dangerous mix of stupid, arrogant and unwilling to reflect and admit they have made mistakes.
And I'm tired of being told we need to listen to them. We've listened and been forced to follow them with Brexit here and Trump in the US. And guess what? They were the complete and utter **** shows every sensible person predicted. I'm done listening to these morons or respecting them.
Trump is a moron, racist, fascist, rapist who can barely string a sentence together. If you vote for him you are trash.

It can be a dangerous game if they focus on him being stupid. A lot of pollsters and commentators reckon the constant focus on George Bush Jr being stupid lost them the tight election.
All democrat papers and adds just kept on going after gwb being daft. Republicans would answer in polls yeah we get that but he seems honest or tough on crime or whatever. Democrats would come back and say yes but look how stupid he is. Many swing voters thought it was middle class sneering and looking down.
We probably get the same with brexit. The less educated on average and the lower your household income the more likely you were to vote for brexit. 60% of households earning under 20k voted brexit 35% of over 60k.
It's easy to call them stupid, I prefer to think better of them and say they were manipulated and lied to by a very well oiled machine.
