Good to see Whittaker and Clelland starting.

    What’s Cleland like?

Not heard a lot about him, more of Landers and Molotkinov

    Edit - just realised he’s only 16!

Yes, think all age groups have been told to mirror the 1st teams tactics

Heard Darren McGregor talking about it last week and saying they had just started to mirror the first team, they’d only been doing it for a week or so he said.

Few of the players in that development team today must be playing with a view to making changes come the weekend. Thinking Levitt in particular.

He’s very young slight build, and is a terrific finisher.

That was far from a young Hibs team.

I cannot wait to see Jairs reaction when he scores his first goal for the first team.

Thought on Saturday he looked much better - nice play on the wing to beat a man and pick out Youan and then another point he played a Scott Allan esque through ball to Doidge, he also had a couple of really good bits of link up play with Youan. But the most important thing probably, he protected and looked after the ball a lot more.

I thought he did well too.

Sounds like a good run out for some players.

Agree Jair could be one of those players who needs a run of games to get going

Great to hear they are now doing this but it seems such an obvious thing to be doing that I am surprised that it hasn’t always been done!

We have done it to some extent in the past including when Jack and Hecky were here. But it only works if you stick to the same style of play.

The goalkeeper is really important in the 4-4-2 formation, when hibs played hamilton recently, i was amazed at the difference between Pawel Boruc first half, and Murray Johnsone second half.
Pawel always seems to stand on the 18 yard box, or further up the field, and tried to intercept through balls, Murray Johnstone kept in the box and was much more traditional.

So looking at the team lines for yesterdays game, and the 442 set up. Looks like Josh Campbell is now a right sided player/winger at Hibs now!

    When is it

  27. #596
7pm on November 24 at Easter Road.

  28. #597
18s lost 0-3 vs Kilmarnock on Friday night.

A goal in the opening 45 with a further two in the second was enough to give the visitors a comfortable victory against a youthful U18 Hibernian side.

    St mirren tomorrow HTC 2pm

  30. #599
    HT 1-0 at Mirren
At Mirren have been good against a young depleted hibs squad
St Mirren number 11 Ethan Sullivan goal scorer is a really good player

FT 0-3. That's as bad as I've seen Hibs play at that level. I know Whittaker, McIntyre, Rudi and Landers are missing but that was poor.
