If your not there and you can be there, hang your head in shame, if Sir David Gray had the same can't be arsed attitude as a lot of our support we would still be waiting on a Scottish cup win.
It's like every game of football. Go if you want to otherwise do something else. Any other mindset is bordering insanity.

I was planning on going then I was hit with a bill of nearly 700 quid on Friday for my car to get through its mot, I was then was offered a full shift today at work at double time. Should I have called you first to ask if I was allowed to work instead?
I feel your pain Sean. Been trying to sort my heap for the last week to avoid said muckle bill.

Just seen some of the content on Hibs twitter.

I hope the two tickets I donated have a blast and I look forward to the highlights later or tomorrow, updates would be great 👍

    Thank you Sir David Gray.

Isn't it Ryan Eckersley (hence the pantomime boos)

Don’t know but Whitty, Marv and Scott Brown could get a game for Hibs first team. Great to see them back in a Hibs shirt.

Conrad has lost a bit of weight too.

It’s Adam eckersley, but yes you are right. The boos and the waving was good banter

I thought I heard the game was going to be shown live on YouTube, but that doesn't appear to be the case?

Just under 6000 here. Like watching Hibs in the old days, before the glory hunters latched on 😂

Fyvie looks in great shape too as does Keatings.

I am stunned with the attitude of our fans to this game. Here is a man that single-handedly gave us the best day of our lives and so many are too stingy or lazy to get off their behinds and attend a day all about this great man, David Gray

There was a bigger buzz for the return of Frank Sauzee, a man who won nothing but a Championship medal and suffered the ignominy of being one of our shortest-serving managers. Since his departure from Hibs, Sauzee has shown the club nothing but contempt. Even his much-vaunted return was cut short, with no update provided from him since.

Gray will go down in history as a much more vital player to Hibs and someone who respected and loved this institution. He has always shown this to the fans, unlike other “legends”. Here’s to David Gray!

As someone just mentioned 6000 at the game. It wasn’t that long ago we had attendances close to that. That was way more stunning than people not going to a friendly today.

Some of us were at his dinner testimonial which, as you may be aware, was not cheap.

He is a legend but personally feel he's been let down by his testimonial committee if all they could organise is what is effectively a kickabout with his pals.

Exactly. I paid for 3 people to attend the dinner approx £300 plus drinks, taxis etc on the night. So no- one is going to me feel guilty for not attending today. I've made my contribution to his testimonial year and thanked him for THAT day.

Agree. Very little in the way of build up. Then today itself you might have expected a bit going on, didn’t even have the tellys on to show his goals.

The game was never going to be that much of a draw.

This is very true but think Fletcher, brown etc were as good as it was going to get.

Sure Fyvie still plays for Cove so would imagine he would be in good shape although he isn’t long back from a long term injury

It’s probably more about not being interested in watching a friendly than being stingey or lazy. David Gray has had a good career at Hibs. He’s been adored by thousands, enjoyed some success, written his name in the history books and earned more money than most of ever will. I don’t think he is owed or owes anything.
