Terrific striker for both clubs. Pretty sure he scored four in one game against one of the Old Firm.

He did! Against Celtic in a 4-1 victory
He liked the odd hat trick as well ,including this one at the PBS in 1984/85.

3rd goal is a real cracker

And another treble in the same season against the team that use to play at Ibrox ,Rangers FC.

His final game apparently was against us in August 1986 ,as he retired due to back problems at the age of 29.

    RIP Frank
    A terrific footballer

Forgot he retired so early. About the same age as Lawrie Reilly did.

Only 65 when he passed away too.

We have our Hibs heroes and legends,of course.
For St Mirren and Aberdeen supporters,Frank would be in their clubs football heroes/legends hall of fame.

This nice line of tributes is worth a read for younger guys here who never saw Frank play.
And us older ones who did see him !
Its from the Aberdeen Press and Journal.

You tube of course has some clips of his more famous goals, like the ones i linked earlier .
His hat trick at Tynecastle was on the day they clinched the league title .
Dons did the same trick at ER as well under Fergie.
Winning back to back titles... 83/84 84/85.
Our strikers could check them out also !

His back pain issues obviously hampered Frank, but still he was a superb striker.
Injury free? Who knows what heights he might have reached (and i dont mean from corner kicks)
You can always admire an opponent .Franck for me was in that class.
