    I absolutely do. I'm Monty daft. Doesn't mean I can't think it's strange Levitt hasn't featured though.
Maybe not up too speed yet

He might well not be but thenwhy have him on the bench. Personally thought the change we needed was to go 3 central with bit creativity. McCallister could maybe have got a shot there.
Anyway, still looking good under Monty

Monty is not daft and will be keen to use Levitt as soon as practicable. He was a bit behind on fitness though and then took a nasty twist vs Lucerne. We will see more of him soon of that I'm sure.

I still think he’ll be a good player for us. When players arrive behind fitness wise they never get off to a quick start. Couple that with him coming in to a complete shambles.

He’s going to need to be patient though as the current two are in good form.

Instantly showed his quality and composure when he came on today.

Will be a huge player for us when fit.

He looked our best player to me on the day albeit he was only on for a short spell. Oozed composure and class and made his tackles too. It will be interesting to see what we do against the Thes. I'd have Levitt on from the start and play Vente up top on his won

I’m not sure Montgomery will change to a 451/433/4231 so will be interesting to see what he does.

The idea of Levitt and Newell dictating play and suppling the Youan and Boyle out wide and then ALF as he drops in to the hole or drifts out wide is a very exciting thought.

The fleeting moments of calm that I felt during the game were when he had the ball.

Played a pass about a minute after coming on that took out half their team. It was simple, and it was about 10 yards, but it was first time and he played it without thinking about it. He’ll force his way in to the team once properly fit. He’s a good player.

he did well. But I felt we were a lot more open through the middle defensively when he came on. That could have been to Super Joe tiring tho.

Or Jeggo going off. Thought we were very open near the end and was surprised no more subs brought on personally would have brought Campbell on for Vente late on as he was completely knackered and Josh would have given us some energy at a time we needed it.

    We’d used our 3 stoppages.

But can only stop the game 3 times to use them.

    We used 4,

Yes, but you can only have the game stopped to make substitutions 3 times.

We made substitutions on 58mins (ALF), 77mins (Hanlon) and 78mins (Levitt and Boruc). Meaning we had used all 3 of our allotted stoppages.

I didn't realise that, celtic had 4 different times on live score for their subs yesterday, possibly a mistake

Seems a little odd we didn't do the 77 and 78 together but assume was when Marshall injured.

Did they make any at half time? Think you can make a sub at half time and it doesn't count as 1 of 3? Could be wrong and maybe they didn't even make a sub at half time 😅

We should have had Alf on for Doidge at half time in that case

Hindsight is a wonderful thing 😀

They will have made a double sub as the minute ticked over on the clock. The substitution time is recorded as when each player enters the field of play, not when the game is stopped.

Might be a concussion sub too. I think you get an extra one for that and so does the other side.

Liked what I saw from Levitt, particularly his ability to pass through the opposition midfield and into space. When his fitness is up to speed it might be time to see what a pairing with Jeggo looks like.

Newell has been good in lots of games this season, but more so in Europe than the league IMO. I think his form has also been declining recently and he wasn’t at it yesterday.

A midfield two of Levitt & Newell could work, but with two strikers, Boyle & Youan a Jeggo type is probably needed. For all Newell has improved his consistency in the last 6-12 months, I think Levitt is better at passing forward and into space. Though still to be seen if he would be an improvement alongside Jeggo over Newell.
