Injury time - non old firm clubs

Is this set as a standard 3 mins for games not involving the old firm? Blew right on 45 first half and 3 mins never even covered the amount of subs. Dundee started slowing the game down about 65 mins onwards. Of course, looked like we could have played all night and not scored but guaranteed if that is one of the old firm would have been 6 mins minimum - and how many times do they score in that time.

Yeah, was a disgrace how that was only 3 mins. Subs and bookings and injuries and time wasting should have been minimum 8

  4. #3
That was an utter disgrace today. At least 30-40 secs per goal kick and at one point in the second half almost a minute to take a throw in

Rudden took over a minute to haul his arse off the park. 3mins was a joke.

If that was Dundee playing at Ibrox or parkhead about 8 mins would have been added

    The game is rigged.

pathetic that it was 3 minutes .
Beaton didn’t have a terrible game, but was foul on Youan a penalty

Could’ve played on all night and it wouldn’t have made a difference in the outcome

Perhaps there’s a Sash Bash on at The Crown Bar in Bellshill and Beaton wasn’t wanting to hang about too long.

In the context of the modern game, the match officials basically cheated today. 3 minutes my arse - Dundee were time wasting throughout and it's astonishing to see the officials turn a blind eye in such a shameless and blatant fashion. I won't wait up for any comment on Sportscene!

Beaton is such a clown. Arrogant toss. No real bad decisions however the time wasting he allows is ridiculous. Rudden was down twice loads of subs. Goalie wasted loads of time at every goal kick. Unacceptable to be honest should have been minimum five mins. There was a game at Tynecastle Beaton had where he gave them 11 mins.

It started a lot sooner than 65mins. Pretending to have their CBS in the box so they could take it short was a time wasting technique and that started from their 1st goal kick

Four sub intervals, Newell's head knock, Rudden being down all the time, the Kerr/Obita ruck...

Unreal that was only three minutes. I know there's the could have played all day without scoring element, but basically went from expecting to have one more chance to being unlikely to get our our half again.

Didn't think it was a big issue. I've seen lots, lots worse.

To be honest I've quite enjoyed the relative lack of VAR involvement in the last few games, and the resulting "normal" length of injury time.

People seem to be getting upset about nothing. We played well today, and have played well since the new manager came in. It's night and day compared to Johnson. Let's enjoy it, and not get too worked up about small beer issues.

Same, I was all for VAR being introduced but have to admit I hate it now. I said to my mate at the game I'm not even sure we're still using it up here any more. Never see it on the screens or that and game seems to flow as it used to.

Saying that, Kerr was a lucky boy to start on after that tackle on Obita. Maybe we actually aren't using it.

Scottish refs are terrible. Are they biased, I’m not convinced. Inept definitely but biased who knows. Interestingly, I had a Hun taxi driver recently and he was up in arms about Gollum describing him as a known Roman Catholic. I was sitting there thinking WTF. So maybe all football fans think refs are biased.

I think there is undoubtedly unconscious bias. I spoke to a ref who was 4th official a few seasons ago at Tynecastle- great guy, English born, really knowledgeable and loved Scottish football - but really disliked Hearts 😂 they lost that day 😛👍

Collum is an R.E. teacher at a Catholic high school - so it's hardly surprising the huns have 'issues' with him.

Beaton reminded me of an under 14 ref (no disrespect to these guys meant) but he hardly moved out the centre circle. Giving freeekicks drom 40 yards away. Amateur season

And he didn’t actually even play all of the 3 minutes, he blew with 5 seconds to go. That was even though they wasted time during the 3 minutes added on.

    Worst ref in Scotland.

The time they took to line up the two free kicks they got by the dugout wasted about 2mins.

I may be naive, but should the referee/fourth official not be asked to explain, where they got 3 minutes from? It was so glaringly obvious that there should have been more than 3 minutes added. Are they not meant to be following guidelines, or is that something we stupid fans just made up?

That's irrelevant, the issue is the true amount of injury time which should have been allowed.

  31. #30
Every English game I seem to see on tv there’s usually 4/5 minimum with some games getting 8-10

Where on earth no minutes added in first half and only three for second half was criminal.
