    Villa training at ER tonight

Anyone got any idea what time Villa will be training at Easter Road tonight?

They might do it the LJ way and not bother 😉

Never mind that, what hotel are they staying in?

We can do that cringeworthy thing and all go along with fireworks. High end hotels will have triple glazing and the players will have an additional sleep schedule on the day of the game anyway but we can pretend it might work.

Saw someone in a full AVFC tracksuit outside the Caley at 8ish this morning.

Didn't see anyone when I walked past at lunch though.

Summary: May or may not be the caley.

During the mid 60s to mid 70s when we were qualifying often in the old fairs cup, there was occasions abroad that the team got a "welcome" at hotels.
Drum banging, car and scooter horns, general noise outside to annoy the players.

Jimmy O' was once asked about that regarding one trip to Valencia and replied
" Wisnae any bother,we couldnt hear them from the hotel bar, anyway" !

Interestingly,i think we might have also been Scotttish pioneers in taking our own chef to foreign climes and avoiding possible "tummy upsets" in "home team" hotels !
    Not sure about Birmingham,though.

The Caley? Surely missed a trick by not booking the new "state of the art" Tynecastle Towers.....

One of my colleagues was staying at the Cameron House when Espanyol were playing Seville in the UEFA Cup Final.

Turns out he was on the same floor as all the players. When he left his room in the morning there was a set of training shorts, top, trakkie bottoms and drill top folded neatly in front of his door. He scooped the bundle up packed it in his bag and went for breakfast and checked out.

Why are we letting them train there in the first place? Is that some sort of UEFA requirement?

But can triple glazing stop the fire alarm from going off continuously...

A no scheduled 737 from Birmingham landed at Edinburgh airport at 1657. I would guess that is the Villa team?

Can only hope the Villa players go on the lash after being swayed to go to Fringe events.

Double glazing isn't immune to 4.00am fire alarms.

Yes! Caught on camera exiting the Ladyboys tent and sampling deep fried mars bars at 4am!

Hopefully they're meant to be asleep at 11pm when the Tattoo fireworks go off, shame there's no Typhoons flying tomorrow night too.
    Mon the Hibs.
