Oh no, the really good manager who won them everything doesn't think they're the bestest most specialist club in the world ever and wouldn't manage them for free so they don't want him.

    My heart bleeds.

I'll go as far as to say Rodgers is an upgrade on Ange. He's a top level manager despite what happened at LC.
    Agree.

If I was a Celtic fan I’d have preferred to keep AP personally, but Rodgers seems like a pretty decent option to replace him with.

Interesting from our point of view too to see some of the cretins and how they change their tune on the Judas rat who had the audacity to move-on after winning them multiple trophies.

That is actually an outstanding upgrade on Gary O'Neil I have to say.

Iraola has taken Rayo Vallecano from lower league obscurity to competing really well in La Liga, with almost the same playing pool that he had in the lower leagues.

I was lucky to see them last season (you might not think so on the surface but they were absolutely magic)
I'd got tickets to see Lewandowski's debut for Barca, at the Camp Nou, vs Iraola's Rayo team.

He had them playing like Inter Milan did in the Champions League final - solid in defence, and with a couple of trusted lieutenants on the flanks, who were bursting forward all the time.

They hustled Busquets into a rash red card, and while they ended up 0-0, Rayo had 2 goals disallowed for exceptionally marginal offside decisions.

The manager was a big presence (he was winding up the Camp Nou something rotten all the way through) and you could see he had Xavi out-thought all the way through, regardless of Barca having Gavi, Pedri, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Dembele, De Jong, Kessie all on the attack.

He's a real dark horse Iraola, a proud Basque who won't think twice about upsetting the applecart.

Yip, he's got a huge future. He is a massive upgrade for Bournemouth.

Thanks for the info. It will be interesting to see how he does. It's a tough gig to manage a small club like Bournemouth in the EPL.

    Darren Moore leaves Sheffield Wednesday.

Seems a strange one, thought he’d be in a job for life after the end of last season.

I think he probably wants to leave while his stock was high.

Maybe has a job lined up.

Looks like the green brigade aren't actually rejoicing over Rodgers return . They had a banner at one of there games when he left and they are supposedly put it up on social media now . It reads " you traded immortality for mediocrity. Never a celt , always a fraud . Took Rodger's leaving for Leicester quite badly

I know he got them promoted but were they not at one stage clear in first place before going on a very bad run too ?

Does a return of the banner being flown upside down in protest for the most self-entitled support in world football beckon?

The hymn “Give me joy in my heart” was changed lyrically to -

“I hope you die in your sleep Brendan Rodgers,
I hope you die in your sleep I pray.
'I hope you die in your sleep Brendan Rodgers, from a bullet from the IRA”

An absolutely smashing bunch of lads.

While I’ve not heard that one myself, I’m assuming it’ll be that Celtic faction that latches onto Hibs on occasion.

They’re about as Hibs as Gary Mackay.

What’s this all about, seems petty by Celtic

BBC Scotland were denied access to the Brendan Rodger’s media conference.

In a statement, they said: "We're sorry that Celtic did not allow us to access today's media event. We are in discussions with the club in an effort to resolve the situation."

BBC Scotland News has asked Celtic for comment and is awaiting a response.

It’s to do with a Tom English article they didn’t like.

Absolutely ridiculous, the point of the media isn’t to just post what they like.

It is in Glasgow for the big two. They demand succulent lamb reporting

Saw a little clip of it and it was a bit nauseating how Rodgers went in how he realised he had hurt some Celtic fans when leaving. Pandering to self entitled morons

Same thing also happened to PLZ Soccer (the one Roughie and Tam McManus work for), they released an almost identical statement.

Celtic only want journalists who will report nice stories about them.
