    SDG Testimonial

    https://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/articl...sir-david-gray

Glad we are doing something for him. Sounds like there are going to be more events than just the testimonial match. Would be good to get a Man Utd 11 for the actual match.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I've kissed his forhead, right on the spot where heided the winner from.

Always felt he managed to slink away from his playing time without enough notice, recognition or credit.

    Over the moon with this.

Congratulations, seems fitting you name her David when she’s born.

    Your call though.

You could never tire of watching that cup-winning header.

He's also done better when he's stepped into the manager's shoes than folk give him credit for.

Wonder who will want to send a team to play in October

I'll still be there to watch 😁

Both the game and the testimonial dinner are the weeks of the international break. Would have been lovely to get most of the 2016 winning team, but McGinn will be away with Scotland

Clubs will be idle, so hopefully can bring a team up to ER

Some things are so important you’d miss anything to be there.

Send Mrs. diclonius a good luck card and we’ll have a pie and a bovril waiting for you 👍

    (congratulations by the way)

    Thanks all!

If we were having a boy he'd have been called Jason - will leave you to make your own interpretations on that one.

Gutted I’m on holiday and missing it.

I was on holiday for Stevenson’s as well. Sure they are doing it on purpose now

Even our mahoosive Gorgie overlords are too small a team to be worthy of such an occasion. Time machine required. I'd settle for Brazil '70 in the first half and Brazil '82 in the second.

I'd rather have the sevco 2016 team as the opponents managed by the magic hat might not be doable though

Not usually a fan of testimonials but I'll be at both the match and dinner for this one.

Surely it will mean seeing the likes of Logan, McGeouch, Fyvie, Keatings, Fontaine and Bartley in Hibs strips one last time. Worth every penny.

I'm hoping to get to both too.

Just a pity SJM will be in France with Scotland, assuming they fly out a couple of days before the game.

I actually agree, there’s not a hope in either gods Green earth or hell that they’d agree to that though

Like your reasoning but it was pretty much a case of picking the 1 or 2 names we both actually agreed on.

It does help that our #1 choice for a boy happens to be the same as the Hammer of the Hearts.

The Scotland squad are staying in Spain for a training camp between the Spain and France games.

I hugged SDG on the pitch at Hampden; he seemed in a daze, as of course was I.
