Yes, there was a disappointing crowd last night , various factors could have been the cause - Easter weekend , other sports on the box, pricing, scheduling and the fact that the Old Firm Derby took place earlier in the day and this possibly discouraged folk from coming into the city in case of ongoing trouble. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Felt like Edinburgh let a lot of hurt out in that win tonight - good atmosphere at the DAM for the final home game of the season too, and plenty going on.

awful timing for me, clean forgot it was sat night game and after finally suffering enough of the Blackburn/Hull game decided to flick channels and saw the Edinburgh game, unfortunately only 5 mins remaining and perfect timing for the last try of the game...from Ospreys :(

i thought that a few times nearer the end, they were desperate for a wee Glasgow sin-bin :) because the camera kept moving away i couldn't really make out where any brawl was but i think it was maybe down in the corner where Scarlets were attacking, maybe the home fans didn't appreciate the Weegie Banter an aw that
anyway, Toulon beat Benetton Treviso 23-0 and that was playing almost the entire game with just 14 after a Red card on just the 6th minute for Toulon
i'm also looking forward to the La Rochelle v Leinster final in the champions cup, after La Rochelle thrashed Exeter Chiefs 47-28, they'll obviously be wanting to retain that trophy.

3 year contract extension for Gregor Townsend, hard to argue against with Scotland presently fifth in the world rankings, highest ever

Toonie signs contract extension
Delighted for the guy, he had his critics but the playing squad rate his methods very highly.

still 10 mins until HT but if Glasgow don't get something very soon they needn't bother coming out for the 2nd half of this final
abysmal 0-21 but at least they're getting the ball in to the Toulon half with the restarts
Glasgow with the unenviable record of becoming the first side in a challenge cup final to come up with nil points in the first half

An away trip to Dublin on the St Patrick's Day weekend is seriously tempting, even if it means seeing Ireland crowned champions again (which is my way-too-early prediction).Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

i never look forward to this sequence of games, the three away with just the two home games and very hard ones at that, lets hope by the time we face Italy away we've already secured at the very least 5th place cause we won't get anything in Dublin.

Happy with our draw (though hoping 'Invitee 2' doesn't end up being one of the SA teams).
Hope we get Clermont at home - we beat Castres home and away last year, and I guess it depends who Invitee 2 are as to whether it would be best to play them in Edinburgh or away. If it IS a SA team, definitely want them to be in Edinburgh to reduce the travel.
My knowledge of French rugby beyond the big teams isn't great but I think Glasgow's group looks achievable?Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Looks like a new competition is going to appear in 2026, with the Six Nations and Sanzaar organisations merging to create home/away tests during the summer/autumn. Sounds very similar to the existing summer in the south, autumn in the north test series, but adding some actual competition to it - no format confirmed yet.
