TBF that's just an assumption. There is not much profit in it for the Old Firm at the moment. They would need to invest 7 figures to start even making a dent in the UWCL or other games on the International stage. They are only getting a couple of hundred fans so they aren't going to just chuck money at it. I honestly don't think we will see much bigger investment at the moment.
Celtic v Glasgow City had a record breaking crowd of 9553

Yeh I know. Im talking normal attendances. These games where we boost attendances are fantastic for the womens game but unless they start playing at these grounds every week and doing the give-aways on tickets, they aren't getting about the couple of hundred number - in fact you'd be lucky if there was a hundred at most games last week. No one is fighting for a seat at Meadowbank no matter who they play.

Grant Scott was at a recent game but he flitted about a fair bit in recent years. The obv one will be Joelle but a risk going for someone with no experience. I think this appointment will be a good temperature gauge for how serious they are going to take the women’s team for the next few years.
Supposedly Grant Scott will be the new manager. Seems odd the guy has been to so many clubs and keeps moving about.

    Good source?

Iirc, Brightside may be able to confirm or correct, he left before because he was exasperated at the failure to build the team?

Decent choice imo. Be interesting to see what he can do with a budget and hopefully he will stay in the role long enough to have an impact. When he left last time the claim was he wanted more time at home. Then he joined Glasgow City! 😂

The truth is the SWPL is still the one man and his dug league that no one attends unless they get free tickets.
Almost all the money for it comes from sponsorship and grants.
They would be better getting a decent crowd in to watch by charging a couple of quid a skull. Bigger crowds would also make the sponsors happier.

Probably true, but I would expect us to get a decent crowd against Glasgow City .... who wouldn't pay to watch a team with the magnificently named 'Priscila Chinchilla' in it

His previous Hibs team was really fun to watch, helps when you had players like Jamie-Lee Napier of course, quick and direct. I fondly remember an 8-0 win against the Huns

Dreadful 90 minutes at Ibrox but the injury time was brilliant

Seen that on the telly. When final whistle goes Celtic players think they've won the league, they were basing that on the fans reaction to Rangers scoring which was chalked off.
How often will you see either half of Old firm celebrating the other scoring.

Yup .. no happy tae just screw up the men's game, gonna use their resources tae make the women's game a two horse borefest as well. Wonder how long it will be until they have their noses pressed up against the windae of the English women's super league begging to get in there as well.

Rangers have lost two of their best players. Sam Kerr is away to Bayern. Emma Watson going down to Man U. Hibs have signed Mya Christie from Aberdeen - she's a decent young player who can play wingback or winger (18yo)

New manager expected to be announced soon.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

As green castle said a week or so ago it’s Grant Scott unless there has been a last minute change.

They have a good squad but they also keep them in their age group rather than pushing the talented ones up.

Sarah Gibb released from Glasgow City. Very good young midfielder who hasn’t quite broken into the first team. Would be a good one for Hibs to develop. Think she’d be an excellent CDM in time.

We do need more youth back in the team, and we need a bigger squad full stop, plus now with the changes continuing in the game we need to start thinking about the bringing in and selling on model.

Now Scott's back I imagine one of the first orders of business will be sitting down with McDermott amd identifying targets. He'll obvs know the players at Glasgow City well, so Gibb might well be a shout. Could make up for letting Lauren Davidson leave!

LD would never have left if she’d got game time. One that got away.
