Not my area of expertise Im afraid. I imagine that gifts are professionally valued by the Civil Service, or maybe an external contractor? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
To be honest, I think you would have to be incredibly stupid not to declare anything presented as a gift and run it through the process. Or her aides would have to be incredibly stupid. Why take the risk (even if it's small it doesnt help with the perception)?
Anyway, I dont think there's much here. Simplest solution is often the right one. If they were gifts, they either didn't breach the limit or she paid the difference, in which case it would eventually end up in the log. Or they were a personal gift from a family member or her spouse. Or she bought them herself.
I'm not seeing a smoking pen here![]()

For what it's worth I don't think the Scottish electorate are stupid for not voting for independence, I think they've had the wool pulled over their eyes, just like the English electorate in the so called Red Wall constituencies did or the British electorate did when they voted for Brexit.
I know you'd love to sell the narrative that the nasty Nats think everyone else is stupid and I know why, but just because I think that eventually people will wake up to the lies being fed to them by the British State and their compliant media, doesn't mean I think they're stupid, it just means I think they've been manipulated into believing the class system in the UK is working for them when in reality it's only working for those who control it.
Yes they will one day wake up and smell the coffee and they'll do that because they're not stupid.

It did cross my mind that it might be the start of the stop Robertson campaign. I love a wee bit of political intrigue.Every gimmick hungry yob,

I'm not really understanding the obsession some here and elsewhere are having with finances and information that isn't required by law, rules or regulations to be in the public domain.
What to SNP membership numbers have to do with anyone outside the SNP? Or indeed the tory membership in Scotland.
What does it matter if any political party pays their leaders extra cash?
Of course if there's anything that breaks the law or breaks Electoral Commission rules that's a different matter. I'm not sure either of the above or other stuff does. It's none of your (non members of other political parties) business. Bolt 😆

When you talk about things like a compliant media and that I'm being "manipulated to believe the class system", i really don't know know what to say, other than that's nonsense.
I simply don't buy into your description of the country. I'm not suggesting you're wrong, being manipulated or that you need to waken up though. That's the bit that makes it sound like you think we're stupid.

The media chief misled the public, but he in turn had been lied to by those at the top of the party.
And when the party that forms part of the government has been shown to be lying then it is very much the business of the public to know.
Even Humza probably understands that. There's only one thing better than a Hibs calendar and that's two Hibs calendars

Not sure what Murrell was paid as Chief Executive but they'll be over £200,000 between the two of them. They'll be pretty well off.

What Murrell has been paid is less clear as his salary was stated in the party accounts up until 2013 then not listed for the next eight years. When it reappeared last year it was listed as circa 80k.
