I don't know how everyone else feels about VAR but I hate it . The worst part of it is when your team scores it's killed that one moment of elation you feel , now you don't know if it's a goal till it's checked even watching a game as a neutral it's not the same .its a absolute kill joy . I know it corrected the referee's mistake in giving the penalty but we had 8 minutes added on in the first half and another 7 at the end , 15 minutes added on in total . Crazy .

Scottish football's 150 days of VAR

I like VAR. I hate the people using it
The best thing about it should be that all the big, game changing decisions are right. The actual best thing about it is the way it is highlighting the bias and corrupton in Scottish football. What needs to happen next is that something happens about the bias and corruption.

Agree with both posts above really. I don’t like the way VAR has impacted the flow of the game and killed the joy of a goal as I fear it’s going to be chalked off for something minuscule.
However, VAR SHOULD mean the big calls are correct but as we know with our referees it appears they take a different view on decisions when 2 certain clubs are involved.
Overall so far I don’t like it but say we were to get referees from outside Scotland to manage it and see where we get to that might see a decent improvement.

But you just need to watch this short YouTube video to understand why we require cameras.

I'm in favour of VAR but would prefer if we use it more like Tennis, managers get three challenges a game, maximum of two per half and if their challenge is approved then they get to keep it.
I also think we need to mic the refs up and be far more transparent to fans inside stadiums.

Your long-term hope of cameras being used to refereeing entire matches and doing away with referee's entirely is a very interesting thought though the skeptical side of me thinks if the SFA done that they would just put Beaton, Walsh, McLean and the rest of the Muppets in charge of watching the cameras and we are back to incompetent or biased decision again . For me the biggest thing is it kills that moment of joy , celebration when your team scores a goal , decision's getting checked are taking 3, 4, 5 or 6 minutes to decide while fans are in the stands wondering what's going on. Personally I hate VAR and am sorry to see it come into Scottish football , I don't know if many feel the same way but if there was a vote today to keep it or do get rid of it , I'd be voting to get rid .

VAR is meant to be for clear and obvious decisions.
So allow the VAR official one look from each angle and if they can't see the reason immediately then the call on the field stands.
The check would be over in less time than it takes to celebrate a goal/blame a defender.Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Hate the way it's going with soft non-fouls and defenders being penalised constantly for stupid incidents where they haven't gained any kind of advantage whatsoever. Concerning for anyone like me that can't be arsed debating decisions and just wants to enjoy the football being played.

im getting there aswell absolutley sick of games now being decided by somone waiting for minimal contact and buying a pen, id bring in indirect free kicks for these instances now.

If anyone that's watching VAR or even looks at it and can't see that it's a dive then it's time they give up !!! .

If there is contact but the fouled player exaggerates it (Colak earlier this season) then I'd cancel the penalty and award the defending team a free kick. I'd do that anywhere on the pitch to cut down on the cheating. Within reason, football is a contact sport.Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Hate it.
I’d have goal-line technology only.., at least that’s decided within a couple of seconds.
sadly VAR is here to stay no matter what any of us think about it but it has certainly reduced my enjoyment of the game

Hate it up here so far. Not helped by the fact we’ve been on the end of a few horrific decisions whilst those closest to us in the league have benefited. Honestly believe we’d be sitting third by a few points if it hadn’t been parachuted in mid season

Hate it, gets far too involved, supposed to be clear and obvious, should look at how it’s get used in rugby, minimum disruption

I just know that the next time we score against Hearts I'm not going to be able to celebrate it until I know it's been given. That's enough for me to hate it tbh.

Var is having a few teething problems, no s*** Sherlock !! Picture is of a rangers fan who thinks it's a karaoke machine and his waiting for his favourite song 'the billy boys ' to come up 😂😂.

Some may wish to take this with a pinch of salt but would it surprise anyone if it was true?

I'd go further and say applying the rules properly isn't their main concern. Thinking how it effects a certain team or the health of their glazing is at the forefront.

Scrap it. If one of the intentions was to take the pressure off the refs, it hasn't worked.
It's worse if anything.

I was entirely in favour of it in principle, tbf I still am, but the execution of it in Scotland has been so dreadful I’d be axing it asap.

I didn’t want it before it was brought in , it’s actually turned out worse than I imagined it would.Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
He'll die before he's sold.

Properly hate it. The last game against der Hun had very little to enjoy, and couldn't really celebrate our goal, as it went in through a ruck of players and so had to wait for VA******R to say when we could cheer. And it's done nothing to improve the decision making (cf the Rangers 429 pen awards already this season, and the race to have Celtc catch up since that position became untenable).
Get rid now.
