Mcginn is this generations McFadden. Doesn't matter how his club form ever is, you can always rely on him for scotland and often seems to be the one that steps and gets the important goals

Clarke created this situation by constantly playing Gordon in friendlies and not giving the other pair experience but the 2 who have been in and around squads for years must be pretty disappointed right now.

Looks a pretty decent side. Certainly good enough to see off Cyprus.

I can mind commenting at the time when we played the last round of friendlies. Gordon was still fit and was the ideal time to play some of the reseve keepers but he didn't, strange move.

No easy games in International football these days, long gone are the days when we would hammer this lot 5-0 away and then 8-0 at hampdump wi Colin Stein scoring 5 in the one game. Interesting to note that Jim Herriot played in goals when we beat them 8-0 he was with Brum I think, we had some team then.
Now they are just a yawn with pricey jerseys for sale.

Not as sweeper but as far as I'm aware he's always been considered to be someone who could play CH but who rarely excelled there.

I liked Gogic though. He certainly had his uses and I was disappointed when he left. We've had a few too may players like that over the years though and we can't keep them all.
