I'm not bigging up the UK. I'm merely adding context to the comparison with other countries. Ireland has higher average salaries, but a higher cost of living. I don't think the direction of travel, taking in the past 25 years and where things are likely to go over the next 25 (for any number of reasons) is in Scotland's favour relative to Ireland.

The approach only works in the long term if it promotes endogenous growth. There are some signs of this. Is it enough? Time will tell. Individual wealth in Ireland is increasing. am I being overly simplistic here? Surely the fact there’s photographic evidence of him being at at least 2 separate parties/get togethers/shindigs means he cannot say he didn’t lie in Parliament? He got a fixed penalty notice for one of them

or it there going to be a magic bullet style defence of ‘yes I was there with a group of people sitting right next to one another but there absolutely wasn’t a gathering of people’?
