I see he got on for the last 25 minutes for Stirling Albion tonight.
I like Robbie. Filling out now could have a player on our hands with him

Based on what I've seen of the two of them (albeit about only 200-300 mins of football each) I think Laidlaw has stood out a little bit more. I do hope he gets a sniff of some game time because he's just as deserving of it as O'Connor in my opinion.
i watched both against dundee reserves, dundee right back was taken off at ht, he got roasted all first half by ethan.
Josh played against a massive centrehalf, tried 100 percent, but never got a look in, apart when he got a penalty then missed it.
Josh looked like he would benefit more by a loan, but the coaches will know better than me.

O'Connor double and a Laidlaw penalty if anyone didn't see the report.

I think being written of is a bit of a stretch, some think Laidlaw is the better prospect

Not sure how much of it is factual, but bloke who sits next to me at easter road and is into the youth teams games etc seems to think Laidlaw is offski in the summer and knows where he is going /common knowledge amongst the group and thats why he hasnt had a sniff before the likes of o connor etc. could be bull**** , but equally could explain why he hasnt been given the same opportunity as a couple of the other u19s recently

Villa by any chance? He was down in Brum a few weeks back according to his IG story if I remember right and was quite a few links about it before that. They're snapping up good Scottish talent the last few years as Bn well, so seems to add up.

Also heard rangers but sincerely doubt they'd take to him after his "my dads a rangers fan but not a skinhead typical one" comment on a podcast 😂.

    Disappointing if Laidlaw leaves

I thought #4 was a stand out in the recent Euro game against Dortmund

Reminded me of a young Pat Stanton

Still a wee bit to go though but definitely loads of potential

Fair enough. I heard Villa we're sniffing about and seen on his IG he was down that way. Could have been a coincidence, not heard anything else right enough.

At 18 he'll be wanting some game time next season I'd suppose, but we'd be due a fee

So long as it's not rangers ill wish him well if he goes. Club should have sorted this a while back, don't blame him.

Surprised any of they teams could afford the fee, unless we wave for a huge sell on fee

Surely we’re not allowing Laidlaw to go to Livi.

If we are we must think he’s not good enough, especially since some have been getting the odd couple of minutes here and there

Contract runs out in May, have we offered a deal? If we have and he's knocked it back we'll be due a development fee, or a % of any sale.

    ,

I think with his Scotland caps and previous interest from down South that he can do much better than Livi. I don't doubt they'll be sniffing around but at his age, 18 last month, I can't see why he would take a step down. That's not demeaning Livi, they always punch above their weight but we're a bigger club. It's also interesting that there was a feature on Ethan on our website only last month.

Yes bigger club but not many young players get a chance

I said that i had heard like an earlier poster, that ethan might be looking at alternatives to signing a new deal in may, i also heard that one of these teams might be livingston, i also said it was all conjecture.😄
Probably most of the under 19,s are looking at alternatives at this time, the fee for any of these teams would be pretty minimum.
Let’s hope he signs a new contract, because he’s very talented.
