Yip, only one Wigan player smashing into the keeper so not sure why that was disallowed 🙃
Clancy and Beaton weren't on VAR?

One comment that leapt out on the Wigan forum:

"Seems like a lot of passing without there being much football".
Yip remember it well, play out from back, sideways, sideways, sideways and repeat 😂

I weirdly don’t remember any bad losses under Maloney. I know there were some, but it feels like they at least offered something to talk about.

I remember sheer boredom, 0-0 draws, absolutely nothing happening in games, weird signings that offered absolutely nothing, and the endless sideways passing. Also a stubborn insistence on playing his formation which led to at least one game with Chris Cadden playing CB.

I honestly think I got more enjoyment from Butchers time because there was stuff to moan about and react to (albeit all terrible). Maloney was just Calderwood with all the dials turned to eleven.

Listening to McCoist's remarks on the Sheffield Utd v Wrexham game and he does make me laugh with some of his comments then absolutely nails the technical aspects of the game.

Seriously, how have Wrexham got Mullin😂?. Boy would score goals up here and the English champ, but plays in the conference. Mental

I get the money, but surely he could earn more /the same in league 1? Easily. Just think it's a mad player to have in the conference.

Edit- google says he's on 4500 a week, 4700 supposedly the average in league 1. Dont think he's dropping down two divisions for 200 quid give or take.

Mullin had played league football in England for Morecambe Swindon Tranmere and Cambridge with varying success. Never really attracted the higher levels. He adecent lower league striker no more no less

Did he not finish top scorer for the league and had a few league 1 clubs after him when Wrexham signed him? Sure I remember seeing a lot when they signed him, as he was just off a big season in league 1 or 2.

I watched Welcome to Wrexham. He was saying it was great to not be moving about anymore as his mrs just had a newborn. Plus they absolutely love him down there.

Ah fair enough, I seen the show but didn't remember that bit. Could just the a player finding a club that works for him, ie, Allan at hibs.

Scraped a win against a team how many divisions below them?

It was a hard fraught football match and with plenty of incidents, unlike some of the bore fests that frequently populate the Scottish premiere ship.

I never thought that. He is a better manager than we got to see. He just wasn't ever a fit at this club. I don't think he ever got hibs or Scottish football. We were well rid.

    Good luck to him though.

Had no idea Ian Murray was manager of Raith Rovers. Completely passed me by that.
