Malinovski gets one back for Marseille. Great player, don’t know why Atalanta let him go.

Imagine going to a football game in Scotland and singing about the IRA for 10 mins straight. Absolute weirdos
You're right. It's so tedious. The old story of giving and taking offence that the Old Firm have been at from time immemorial.

Football could do with issuing a law which is a yellow card for keepers who grab a simple cross / through ball and then proceed to flop down on the ground, wasting time. It's irritating.

Can you imagine a Hearts fan asking you.. what were you doing the day that Lawrence Shankland become Hearts all time top goalscorer? "I was celebrating a Hearts win pal" worrying behaviour 😂😂

if the hearts win was against the team most likely to stop us winning the league then I’d say the joke would be very much on them.

Arsenal are going for their first title in 19 years. I’m sure there’s a fair amount of tongue in cheek in your comments but it’s really not that complicated.

1 - 0 up against Celtic with 3 minutes to go, what do we do?
Try to score a 2nd, then concede 2. But that's just us.

You are really struggling with this aren't you?

Arsenal basically got away with a terrible result because City, who according to you, always get it done with the pressure on, also got beat.

Spurs are miles behind Arsenal this season. Them taking points off rivals it's very good for Arsenal.

Only Harry kane actually cares about that record. Less medals in English football than Matt Macey.

I tend to disagree, I don’t see why a player should be booked for wasting time if the ref can just add it on after the 90 minutes.
A goalie can flop down on the ball but it’s then the time he takes to put the ball back in play which is wasted.
An outfield player can take the ball into the corner and protect it, effectively wasting time but the ball is still in play.

1 - 0 up against Celtic with 3 minutes to go, what do we do?
I agree that there is all manner of time wasting that goes on and if the officials did add it all on then great
But I think we are already seeing 'normal' levels of added time nowadays rather than the 8+ from the world cup - it simply does not happen.

The goalie thing is a relatively new one though and fairly easy to stamp out. I just find it irritating.

I agree. It would be easy to implement. But all these rules are only rules if they’re implemented. The discrepancies drive me mental.

I remember when VAR was first introduced, reading the guidance it explicitly said that players who made a ‘TV screen’ gesture or otherwise asked for a decision to be referred to VAR would receive an Immediate yellow card. When have you ever seen that implemented? A player who blatantly dives these days, very very rarely does the ref book him. Similarly, rarely if ever implemented. Players preventing a FK taking place by standing in front of the ball? Always tolerated. But kicking the ball away in a clear tantrum? Always implemented. (Unless you’re Morellos).

1-0 Lazio ht, good finish. Doig missed a good chance at 0-0.

Or hearing how there were plenty of positives to be pleased about after a 0-0 draw with neither team really getting a shot on goal.

Never a foul on the keeper. He has to do better there.

Yip, only one Wigan player smashing into the keeper so not sure why that was disallowed 🙃

Thought Blackburn had a good claim for a penalty there .

One comment that leapt out on the Wigan forum:

"Seems like a lot of passing without there being much football".
