And the 24/7 gambling adds that you see, everywhere. Add in the influencers and YouTubers now getting gambling deals to try take advantage of younger more susceptible viewers, I love a wee bet here and there, but it's blatant that the companies actively try to get try to get/keep you addicted to it.
It's not so much the ads for me, it's the 'tipsters' that are showing off their profits over recent spells. That's winnings that you were never involved in, the temptation is there to jump on the bandwagon, yet naturally the luck is about to turn and it's going to be loss after loss after loss...

Should really just chuck Twitter. Lots of great advice on there, but it ties into those gut v logic decisions that the Guardian article hints at, and for all the will in the world you're going to get those decisions wrong the majority of the time.

In fairness i consider most of those tipsters as ads anyway. Most big ones are paid by certain companies to consistently yse their websites for these bet builders etc, i know one personally and know he gets a substantial payment from a certain Irish betting company to posy tips using their website, betting the money he recieves so its effectively no risk betting for them. Gets given money to bet with, posts his decent wins after the fact and then posts obvious bet builders that get you almost nothing in return and give it thr "any win is a win" chat.

Betting should be open to all over 18, maybe 21, but it shouldnt br advertised whether thats TV ads, billboards, football ads, internet, youtube or tipsters.

I've picked 20 group games with odds at 2902/1 and stuck £10 on. Being honest, if I get a handful of them coming in early doors and get a decent cash-out option, I'll probably take it and Christmas is covered!

First 2 are today: England to beat Iran, Netherlands to beat Senegal.

Jeez, watching Kane is absolutely bloody infuriating. Even just wanting him to mildly look a goal threat and he spent pretty much the whole game - bar the assist - swanning about in midfield, at left back...

1/20 so far - I actually think my pick of the Netherlands to beat Senegal could be my trickiest one of the 20! My ignorance of Senegal might bite me.

i'm one up with my 15-fold for a paltry return of £2,752 only 14 to go

Senegal v Netherlands is not one of them, i thought this game would be just too close to call

Neco Williams 4/1 to be carded for Wales. USA have decent pace and Williams likes to fly into challenges. Good price IMO

Cheers mate. Been having a bit of success this season with that bet builder format.

    1x goalscorer
1x yellow card (often take the goalscorer for this too)
Btts or both teams to get bookings.

    👏🏻

Good game for bet builders although the ref quite randomly stopped booking folk towards the end!

Loving the big bets with many teams.

I think Denmark or Germany is my risky one's for my 11 fold 28-1 £30 bet with £896 returns.

I put the 8 group winners also this morning with a 30-1 odds and £15 pound, £5 was from my free bet so just a tenner.

    England
    Netherlands
    Argentina
    France
    Belgium
    Spain
    Brazil
    Portugal

    £483 returns.

Kane was evens for a goal or an assist on skybet but never risked a quick double up.

I’ve done this as well but went with Germany over Spain, 33/1 start of tournament.

Had messi and Martinez and shot on target each half today at 3s bust at halftime with all those offside goals, treble knackered for the day as well
