I liked Gio, he was too nice a bloke to be their manager. I like a Rangers manager I can fully dislike because of his Hunnish ways.

Nice tasty pay off for GVB.

A year in the job, a European final, a Scottish cup and £4million in the bank.

"...when Hibs won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

    Sir Alex Ferguson

Sean Dyche was asked about it recently and more or less said he would take the job if it was available ,at the time I thought it was poor from him considering GVB was still the manager. Michael Beale was up at a Hun game recently too and was praising club up and how it was good to be back at Ibrox another strong contender for the job.

Any names been linked with Ibrox or too soon?
Never too soon. The DJ-assaulter is allegedly favourite:

I agree. His negative comments on ability to compete in europe compared with others was the beginning of the end. And then the league form dipped again too.

Hopefully this all results in some sort of continuing disarray by the time we go there for the first game after the break.

  9. #848
Hope their new managers first game goes the same way as GVB's (the first game after he was announced anyway).

  10. #849
Huns have more issues than new manager as need to bring in new players as several out of contract.

Not sure if SG will return - again Beale was the brains and you saw what happened when he left SG alone at Villa!

SG needs to be careful with his next job though to get credit in the bank as manager.

Agree with others Gio seemed a decent bloke - maybe why they didn’t take to him!

Had a wee look at Rangers Media for some light lunchtime comedy and saw they are wanting Souness back haha. Oh dear.

You can still get 33/1 on Neil Lennon too , if you fancy a punt? . Have a feeling it will be Dyche . Some odds on it

Certainty to be Dyche. Apparently Dyche is an old Dutch name so they'll be able to claim that they aren't selling orange strips because they are knuckle dragging, ignorant, bigoted *******s but as a tribute to the Dyche dynasty

Slippy G is nothing short of a half-wit if he returns. He knew there were financial issues when he left and if anything they are worse now. There's no money for a major player overhaul and it's going to end badly for whomever takes over.

  18. #857
Could be a way back into management for Jack Ross.

I hope it's not Dyche as he come across as a good bloke, he is also a good manager who is used to working on a budget, the huns being able to offer European football is the only thing that has them shopping in the same market as he would have been used to at Burnley.

Beale turned down Wolves so he’ll be nowhere near Ibrox I wouldn’t think thankfully.

Dyche would be an interesting one. Obviously did a good job at Burnley for a number of years. But totally different demands would be on him at Rangers. If he won 1 in ever 3 or 4 at Burnley everyone was happy. Any defeat or draw up here would be treated like a disaster.

Rangers have no European games until next season, no meaningful amount of money to spend and QPR could be promoted to the EPL for next year. Pishful thinking on the part of the zombies and their MSM sycophants that they will get Beale IMHO.

  25. #864
Some horrendous candidates there 😂 Beale is Premier League bound he won't be going to Ibrox.

  26. #865
Did tell you all Beale was odds on..Huns have just appointed Beale as there new manager . Doesn't look very happy though 😂

No wins and only 1 goal in QPR's last 5 games. Good reputation as a coach but he could end up a disaster as a manager.

The Lying King seems to be back making mischief at Mordor. If Beale has allowed him to turn his head then he's dafter than I thought and deserves whatever s***show awaits him.

I agree though does look like he's going there . Found it strange he was at Ibrox a month ago for Aberdeen game when GVB was under pressure , don't think it showed him in a good way and Maybe a bit disrespectful to GVB , also didn't he cause a ruckus at one of our games too? . Something about him I just don't like
