2 wins with a decent margin, say 2 x 2-0’s and well qualify in my opinion
    Unseeded of course

Pretty good assuming we finish off the group with 2 wins, preferably high scoring wins. Falkirk dropping points would be good as well.

Used to do my head in that, would avoid the results all day and then BBC news would flash them up on the screen a minute before Match of the day started 😂

    Current table of second place teams;

    1 - Dundee Played - 2 Points - 6
    2 - Livingston Played - 3 Points - 6
    3 - Alloa Played - 2 Points - 5
    4 - Queen of the South Played - 3 Points - 5
    5 - Partick Thistle Played - 2 Points - 5
    6 - Stirling Albion Played - 2 Points - 5
    7 - Airdrie Played - 2 Points - 4
    8 - Hibs Played - 2 Points - 3

Despite the fact we're currently bottom I still think two wins will be enough to qualify as one of the best three runners up.

What happens if Hibs and Falkirk end up with 9 pts each, would Falkirk top the group due to head to head

Goal difference first so we would probably finish ahead of them.

Using H2H when you play each other once is unfair.

St Johnstone...they're just lucky they're followed by two men, a dug and a tractor or they'd be in big trouble.

Nothing like getting the Pink in the pub, a couple of pints down post-match, your team crowded round it.

    Me too

Used to get sent out on a Saturday night to local newsagents to get Pink in days when street lighting was nowhere near as good as it is now.

Worth it to get the paper after dad was done with it.

Used to pour over it for hours reading all match reports.

Other than 2016 when I bought every paper going I doubt I have bought a paper in 10 years

Just gone through the remaining fixtures and made a prediction as to how I think each of the groups will finish.

    Group A

    Aberdeen - 12
    Stirling Albion - 8
    Raith Rovers - 7
    Dumbarton - 3
    Peterhead - 0

    Group B

    Partick Thistle - 11
    Kilmarnock - 10
    Montrose - 5
    Stenhousemuir - 4
    Fraserburgh - 0

    Group C

    Ross County - 11
    Dunfermline - 8
    Alloa - 6
    East Fife - 4
    Buckie Thistle - 1

    Group D

    Falkirk - 11
    Hibs - 9
    Morton - 4
    Bonnyrigg - 3
    Clyde - 3

    Group E

    Arbroath - 12
    St Mirren - 9
    FC Edinburgh - 5
    Airdrie - 4
    Cowdenbeath - 0

    Group F

    Annan - 10
Queen of the South - 8
    Ayr - 6
    St Johnstone - 6
    Elgin - 1

    Group G

    Inverness CT - 12
    Livingston - 9
    Cove Rangers - 6
    Albion Rovers - 3
    Kelty Hearts - 0

    Group H

    Queen's Park - 11
    Dundee - 9
    Hamilton - 7
    Forfar - 2
    Stranraer - 1

    Group winners

    Aberdeen - 12 (seeded)
    Arbroath - 12 (seeded)
    Inverness CT - 12 (seeded)
    Falkirk - 11 (unseeded)
    Partick Thistle - 11 (unseeded)
    Queen's Park - 11 (unseeded)
    Ross County - 11 (unseeded)
    Annan - 10 (unseeded)

    Second placed teams

    Kilmarnock - 10 (qualified)
    Dundee - 9 *
    Hibs - 9 *
    Livingston - 9 *
    St Mirren - 9 *
    Dunfermline - 8 (eliminated)
    Stirling Albion - 8 (eliminated)
Queen of the South - 8 (eliminated)

So if my predictions go to plan we will be fighting it out with Dundee, Livingston and St Mirren for the final two spots in the last 16.

Dundee's goal difference is currently better than ours but Livingston's and St Mirren's is worse.

I'm still very confident that two wins inside 90 minutes will be enough to see us through but we have zero margin for error.

    So I think the last 16 will be;

    Seeded

    Aberdeen
    Arbroath
    Celtic
    Dundee Utd
    Hearts
    Inverness CT
    Motherwell
    Rangers

    Unseeded

    Annan
    Dundee
    Falkirk
    Hibs
    Kilmarnock
    Partick Thistle
    Queen's Park
    Ross County

You are probably not far off with that. I think there's only 1 group where it's possible for the runners up to finish with more than 9 points, so we need to win both our games and get our goal difference up and we should be in a good position to qualify.

I'm confident of a 4 or 5 goal win tomorrow, the second half will be very hard for Bonnyrigg with them being part time and our fitness levels should tell. No excuses.

Yeah a couple of 2-0 wins will be enough I think.

Quite where the goalie is away to for that one I’ve no idea. They’re both at fault to a degree but I’d blame the goalie more than Mulgrew!
