Stand off in No10. Boris wants Liz Truss to become Chancellor. But Nadhim Zahawi says he will quit if he isn't moved from Education to No11.

The one we're all waiting for, Shirley, is how high Nads will be going. Looking like Foreign Secretary (or maybe only Education).

She'll need a spelling test for both.

I don't think she'll get both, even though she's twice as fawning as the competition.

Fair play to Chris Pincher. I’ve had some big nights but never drank so much that it brought down a government

It's lunatic stuff. It's all over for Johnson. Be surprised if there's not a leadership contest under wsy before the summer recess.

I'm hoping he takes them down with him and goes to the Queen for a general election. Now someone on here's confirmed he could do that, I could honestly see him being vain enough to do that.

I cannot stand that guy, he's as sleekit as they come. I wonder whether he will put public money aside to warm his horses stables again....

Boris Johnson moving quickly tonight to fill the vacancies in his Cabinet right now. He is going nowhere unless he is forced out his own MPs

The number of Britons who want Boris Johnson to resign has reached a new high, at 69%.

The majority of 2019 Conservative voters (54%) also want to see the PM go, the first time this has been higher than the number who want him to stay (33%)

I wonder why as many as 31% wouldn't want him to resign?

That boy who put up the tweet about Nadine adopting a snow leopard has a very funny Twitter feed tonight.

Apparently Gazza has just rocked up at 10 Downing Street with a cooked chicken and a couple of fishing rods.

New chancellor uses tax havens to protect his wealth from HMRC. Tax is just for us suckers.

What have the Conservatives conserved in this country? In my lifetime all they have done is; sell the nations' infrastrcture off, fractured working class communities and institutions, rendered the middle classes shopa/dopaholics, auctioned the capital city off for roubles, applied trade tariffs to our own businesses, atrophied wages 'cos its fine for bankers to be greedy, radically increase toffs' wealth in proportion to everyone else, renaged on internal investment in favour of the offshore candy mountain, made popularity a more important qualification for office than competency, are in the process of dismantling any kind of reputation for professional decorum our parliament had.

    What are they preserving?

The figures for the first and third things you mention haven't been conserved, all massive increases since I was a nipper.

There was a lot less cap doffing when working class communities were less fractured.

He was actually sober when he rocked up in Rothbury, with his chicken, beer and fishing kit in a taxi. Sky News made more of the incident than what occurred.

Fair dooz. I will say though that even when he is sober he's rarely sober.
