Some of the details of the treatment of immigrants trying to get into the Spanish settlement of melilla from Moroccan is heart breaking.

Hundreds tried to get in over the weekend and the Spanish police treatment is vile. 27 confirmed dead but from the piles of bodies many more.

Migrants have been trying to get into melilla quite a lot recently as a better option than boat. The EU has funded patrol boats in the Mediterranean. If caught they are sent to camps in Libya set up by the EU, which are pretty brutal.

Our leaders need to stop treating humans like animals that can be transported or beaten

That is truely horrific. I couldn't work out if they were just throwing living people in with dead bodies!! Surprised that this hasn't hit mainstream news
