Changing Room Drop In At Easter Road

    Hi folks,

There’s a drop in tonight for the Changing Room. It’s a twelve week programme to help men tackle their mental health through football. I’ve been both a participant and a volunteer and it’s helped me.

If you can make it to the stadium we’re meeting at 6 at the Famous Five stand. It’ll be in a similar way to the Heidbangers episodes of Longbangers. We’re not mental health experts. Instead there will be a chance for men to talk (if they want!) about their own mental health or mental health in general.

    It’s free, confidential and safe.

If anyone wants more information then feel free to PM me.

    💚

    Hi folks,

The next drop in for The Changing Room is this Monday. We’ll be meeting at 6 at the Famous Five stand. It’s a chance for men of all ages to tackle their mental health through football. It’s free, safe and confidential.

The structure of it is quite relaxed. A bit of chat about Hibs/football then a bit of chat about mental health. Don’t worry, if you don’t want to talk you won’t be forced to.

Here’s a bit of info about The Changing Room

    https://hibs.thechangingroom.org.uk/

Here’s a bit of recent press coverage about the changing room at Hearts

    https://news.stv.tv/east-central/wil...tynecastle?amp

If anyone has any questions or wants to know more feel free to DM me

    Thanks

On the video presentation it says men between 30-64 yet on the above it says men of all ages, which one is the correct one.

    Men of all ages.

Intially it was men in their middle years. However we decided to open that up for the drop ins

And to confirm it’s next Monday 30 not tonight! I’ve asked admins to delete!

    Sorry!!!

To paraphrase tis a good thing that you do, particularly in these times of massive financial pressure on so many of us.
Us guys really do find it hard to talk but the relief it brings when you do is impossible to quantify.

The next Changing Room drop in is next Monday 27 June. 6pm at the Famous Five stand, meeting at the green door round to the left of the club shop if you’re facing the club shop!

It’s free, safe and confidential. Just a chance for men to tackle their mental health through Hibs and football.

    See you there.

Over ram but it could have last all night. Tea, biscuits and chat that covered topics such as Hibs, self esteem, Hibs, showing emotion, dealing with challenging situations. And Hibs!

We had a drop in for the changing room before the St Johnstone game. Well attended with some pies and cakes kindly donated by local baker Allan Shaw. The Community Foundation were also kind enough to donate a few tickets for the game.

All going well the next drop in will be Monday 31 October at the famous five stand for six. Further details to follow

Great to see it well attended and to meet some great guys. Well done for keeping this going, it’s hugely important and makes a bigger difference to people than you’ll know!
