Just saw the replay, stumbled out the gate, you'd have to fancy the form to be reversed next time they do battle.
You probably would, and she probably will but for me a slight stumble or whatever it was at the beginning of the race run over a mile and a half is not an excuse for getting beaten. In a sprint yes, but not over a mile and a half IMO and plenty of horses have had bad starts and went on to win big races. Good race though, but she was quite a short price favourite, and IMO Dettori underestimated how much horse he had left underneath him as he cruised into contention but got nailed on the line. That's happened to him before and that was in a sprint. Just my opinion though.

Don't forget the bad start also left Emily Upjohn at the back of the field and she had to go wide at the bends. She still flew home in the straight and was only done by a nose. The start was the difference.

I thought it was a tad more than a slight stumble, still left the horse with unnecessary work to do, I suppose we'll see what happens next time.

I agree. The start gave the rest of the field a good five or so lengths and it also cost Dettori any hope of position around the Epsom bends. I thought Emily Upjohn did very well to get within a nose. She deserved to win after that effort.

Fair dues, I know that if I'd backed her I would have been spewing, and she is a very good horse, no doubt about that. I don't agree that the start cost her the race though, she lost a couple of lengths at the start and she tagged onto the back of the field easily enough, and cruised forward before Tattanhem Corner, she was still going well after Tattenham corner in the home straight and don't forget Tuesday was next to her coming into the home straight, they both took different courses. It was a good race and she might well beat Tuesday next time, but I don't think it was just the start. That is purely my opinion though, it wouldn't surprise me if you're proved right over time.

No idea. I just guess. Win pretty often on the freebies though. Got an expensive day on the beer today so went for an outsider to try pay for that 😁.

Superb race. I didn't bet on it either. Poor Emily Upjohn had everything go against her and only lost by a nose. Definitely the best horse in the race, but that's the way it goes.
    New favourite for The Arc.

I had the winner of the Derby, very impressive indeed. I did think the 3rd was maybe a bit unlucky but he wouldn't have caught the winner, he looks a real class act.

I didn't bet on The Derby this year. Terrific from Desert Crown; the way he ended the contest with just a few strides, to streak away from the field was very impressive.

Yeh, the way he cantered into the home straight then quickened up- really good horse. I just thought he was good at the price, took the 7/2. I thought the 3rd was a bit unlucky but absolutely no way would he have beaten Desert Crown. That's as good a performance in the Derby as I've seen for quite a while. Very good horse, and well ridden too.

A 200/1 winner in the second race at Hamilton this afternoon. Of course I was on the odds on favourite which finished second

Won comfortably, too. It was no fluke.
You absolute ******* beauty. After the above shock, I put a tenner EW on the first as Listowel: Ti Sento 100/1. Only six runners, so why not, might sneak a place, I thought? It just ******* won!! 4/6 fav was third. Lesson learned from the other day

    1220 quid

This has been has been happening a lot lately. If you see a race with a small field and a short priced favourite, consider a wee EW on a long shot. It might bomb out, but it might just happen

    What's everyone having??

Biggest win I've ever had. Six furlong six runner maiden - just give it a go. Perfect situation for a wee EW at a big price. Can't believe it.

Banked it and not getting carried away. Get it right up Paddy Power.

I had Freewheelin Dylan, a 125/1 winner of the Irish National last year, but I only had two quid each way that day. 100/1 my second biggest priced winner.

Cheers mate. They don't happen often, but, as I say, there have been a number of very big priced winners lately. Not sure what's going on with it. There was 200/1 at Hamilton the other day, and there was a 300/1 winner last week.

My biggest win was coral on Irish lottery.

We just under 2000 quid twice in around 4 months. Paid for a trip to florida.

We stopped doing it a few weeks after as felt never getting that lucky again.
